Meadow powered grass tent campsite (wild)
Liked: The park for the children and the big open field, Pitch sizes are great
Disliked: Shower block only having one shower can imagine in summer holidays when it more busy you’d struggle to get a shower, it was also cold and not very good pressure. Disappointing that the second field doesn’t have hot water.

From the manager: Good morning, oh gosh, I am so sorry to read this review. Please let me address the negative comments if I may. On Pitch up it does clearly state our facilities so I am a little sad that it has been used as a score surely you would have known all this before you booked ? There are in fact 2 showers. Yes the pressure was low at the weekend you are correct, I do apologise. We are not on any mains supply as we are quite rural - we are on bore hole water supply and the filters needed changing, during this processes the pressure needs adjusting - it only takes about 40 mins and then is reverted to normal. The showers are electric and are fitted with emergency cut off so if the temperature is moved too high and spikes - to avoid a burn it will go cold, we have have installed signed to advise to leave the dial at 7 to ensure a steady flow and heat balance, if this is twisted and tuned sadly it will spike. ( there is a hot or cold dial on the shower some people tirn the dial to cold by mistake ?? ) Finally the the Wild camping field, this is exactly what is says 'wild camping' - we are unable to get hot water there this is documented on pitch up, its not far from the main site though --- just a few steps !! On the plus side, we are pleased you liked the park and pitch sizes. All the best Lisa and Dean

Liked: The size of the pitch was great and the park and bar was brilliant. Friendly staff and very welcoming.
Disliked: The shower wasn’t the best. The pressure was low and went hot and cold then just drizzled out. I think they’re in the process of getting new showers though.

From the manager: Good morning Thank you for the review we really appreciate it. Yes the showers are electric and unless left at a steady 7 on the dial can be somewhat temperamental ! we are getting mew ones for sure But I do take on board your comments and appreciate your thoughts. we do listen to them all. Thank you for that All the best Lisa and Dean

Liked: The camp site was amazing. From the lovely welcome we received, to the pub and the little onsite coffee hut. The toilet were very clean as was the site. There was also a pizza and pancake van the night we stopped which was an added bonus. It was perfect for the kids with the play area and football pitch. Definitely will go back!

Liked: This was our second stay at Apple Blossom and we loved it as much as our first time. We always received a warm friendly welcome from Lisa who informs us of everything that's going on during our stay. The campsite is limited in the amount of pitches which makes it for a much more relaxed atmosphere. There is sufficient facilities for us to enjoy our stay and they are well maintained. There is a football field and park which is popular with our children and the park is closed at 8pm which helps us settle them down. There is a great bar open on the evenings with a good selection and has games to play. There are food vans on certain nights which are good. We always try to get in the quiet area of the meadow and always have a enjoyable and relaxing stay at Apple Blossom.
