Liked: The friendly staff on arrival and throughout. Very helpful! We loved the dog walking area and football pitch! Very good use of space! Our dog loved it. The pitches were perfect and such a lovely site. The children's games and play park was fantastic too! Our son loved it!

Liked: Peacefulness of the site, cleanliness of facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Good location.

Disliked: Pitch was put on didn’t look overly welcoming and felt out of way but didn’t mind too much.

Liked: Everything about this site, quiet and well maintained. A little road noise although this did not affect us. Great fully serviced pitch, good clean and fresh facilities with hot showers. A good addition was the family bathroom - with a bath! Easier if you are travelling with younger children. Very helpful and friendly wardens. Shop for essentials on site, would definitely re visit if travelling in this area again.

Disliked: Additional cost for WiFi.

Liked: This was a fantastic site ,we had a pitch with its own fresh water tap ,grey water and black water disposal point. The toilets were very clean.There was disabled bathroom with toilet, shower and bath which was great. The wardens (owners) were lovely and helpful peopele.

Liked: Really liked the clean facilities, safe environment and helpful staff

Disliked: The only negative was having to pay additional for WiFi, £3 per device per day (1st world problems)

Sheriff Hutton is a pretty place to start when considering the countryside around here. And then one must go Yorkwards, to the splendid city with York Minster, cobbled streets, York Dungeon, York Railway Museum, the Jorvik Viking Centre… Spend some time too among the market, shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs of the Shambles, the teeny streets that are among the most snapped shots of York. Plenty of indoor options are around if the weather decides to be a tad inconsiderate: you could dash to an indoor play centre nearby or take the tour at York's Chocolate Story (yes, tastings are included…) Bigger parks like Flamingo Land and Lightwater Valley are in the area too. Golf? Greens surrounding the park include Sandburn Hall (with other activities too), York Golf Club, Fulford Golf Club, Easingwold Golf Club and Ampleforth Golf Club. Fishing? Also popular in these parts: cast off locally at Pottery Pond, Birkdale Farm, and Brickyard Farm Lakes. Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.

Arrivals and departures

No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
The park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Breed-specific legislation (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

General

Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and trunks must be closed quietly.
The grocery shop is open between 03/01 and 10/31.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Occupancy

Bookings must not consist of more than 1 different households.
Group bookings of 1 or more units (e.g. tent, caravan, RV or accommodation hire) traveling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
No bachelor/bachelorette parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
Single-sex bookings of 4 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

Reception

Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. between 03/01 and 10/31 and between 03/01 and 10/31.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
