What customers say
This peaceful, well-kept farm site offers spacious, level spots with great views. Guests loved the clean, modern restrooms with extras like kettles and hairdryers. Friendly owners and farm animals were a hit with families. Most found it excellent, though a few wished for better toilet stalls and more amenities.

Perfect for a quiet break.
Primitive grass tent, travel trailer or trailer tent campsite
Liked Clean, quiet, well-organised campsite. Great to have use of the kettle and to be able to cycle around the grounds. Easy to get to York and Whitby by car. We also visited Yorkshire Sculpture Park from here, although it’s not super close.

Would definitely stay again!
Primitive grass tent, travel trailer or trailer tent campsite
Liked This is a really lovely site. Very well maintained, very clean and thoughtful kitchen items available if you have forgotten matches or essentials. The view across the fields is great. There were only 5 other tents when we stayed so felt very spacious. Not sure whether it gets much busier at peak holiday times but for us it was spacious and quiet and just right.
Disliked Not sure if WiFi was available- didn’t see any information about it but forgot to check!

Family friendly, level pitches. Very enjoyable stay
Primitive grass tent, travel trailer or trailer tent campsite
Liked This was a lovely family friendly campsite. The facilities were good and well kept. The grass was nice and short and there was plenty of space for the kids to run about and play games.
Disliked Some other campers were noisy past quiet time, although not the owners fault maybe a sign to reinforce the quiet times would assist with this.

Excellent stopover after spending the day in York, heading east.
Primitive cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Friendly owners and other campers. Our grandchildren made 3 new friends for the evening.
Excellent communication from the owners, with instructions for arrival.
Quiet location.
Animals, (goats, donkeys & chickens), entertained the grandchildren.
Toilet block basic, (2 showers & 2 toilets) but clean & sufficient.
Small kitchen area equipped with communal freezer, kettle etc.
We would certainly stay again if over that way.
Disliked Not a dislike, it suited us fine but it has to be appreciated that the site is a “field” not a commercial playground. Our grandchildren loved the “farmness” of it.
We never considered wi-fi. Would doubt that it is there but mobile reception was fine.
Turning left from the site, (with larger motorhome or caravan), as a narrow bridge is very narrow. We only got through with an inch or so to spare.

The site was fantastic, everything is as it says it was.
Primitive grass tent, travel trailer or trailer tent campsite
Liked The site itself, fantastic, I cant flaw anything, it was exactly as described. Honestly a brilliant remote place to camp. Staff where brilliant. Seeing the farming equipment when you drive in and out and seeing it in use (Bit gutted we didn't get to see the harvester with the boom out but, cant predict that as someone who knows nothing about farming) Honestly brilliant, Toilets where clean a stocked up, Shower worked quickly.
We even managed to see a falcon about 50ft away from us, and a Murder of about 30 crows eating all the earwigs in the wheat fields.
Disliked If I had to picky about the site, if I really had too, The open top toilet and showers, but I'm really struggling to be that picky.
The only problems I had on this trip was a couple of other campers, Which isn't the sites fault. We had three young women screaming, staring at us as they walked past. They seemed rather inexperienced which isn't anyone's fault we all start somewhere, but a fly landing on you is a normal thing camping, don't wake everyone up because of it. The main problem was there high school popular bully characteristics. Caused quite the upset in our tent at one point. Our neighbours also kept complaining about there behaviour and attitude. Again, That's not a fault of the site though. This happens camping. We even repaired someone's tent that collapsed while they where away and there thanks was "I was just hoping someone else would fix it for me"
