  • Family-run park two miles from Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales
  • A short drive to Skipton and Bolton Abbey ruins
  • Walks to Grassington, Linton Falls and Malham direct from the site
Wood Nook Caravan Park is a family-run farmstead park in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and close to Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You're two miles from Grassington, you've got Stump Cross Caverns, Skipton Castle and Bolton Abbey ruins and heritage steam railway all within 10 miles, and the historic towns of Harrogate and York are a short car or train journey away. All pitches include electric hookups, and because the park's set among the rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Dales, it's recommended that you bring levelling chocs in case your pitch slopes a little. Amenities include a heated toilet and shower block, and a laundry room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Friendly dogs are welcome.

Local attractions

You can access heaps of footpaths for all ages and abilities straight from the park, such as the trails to Grassington (2 miles), Linton Falls (2 miles) and Malham (5 miles). You're 10 miles from Skipton and its medieval castle, built in 1090 by Robert de Romille, as well as the spectacular ruins of 12th-century Augustinian monastery, Bolton Abbey. Here you can also hop on a restored Victorian or Edwardian carriage at Bolton Abbey Station for steam locomotive rides to Embsay, four miles away, or explore the 30,000 acres of moorland, woodland and agricultural land that make up the Yorkshire estate of the Duke of Devonshire. Visit the historic towns of Harrogate, to wander around the Montpellier Quarter or book in for a treatment at the restored Moorish-style Turkish baths and spa; or York, with its traditional pubs, boutique shops and York Minster, the largest gothic cathedral in northern Europe.
