What customers say

Spectacular views & riverside location perfect for walks/swims. Immaculate facilities, spacious sites. The Knight's Table restaurant gets rave reviews for food & value. Friendly staff. Mostly no issues, though a few noted sloped pitches. Highly recommended!

Liked Friendly staff and nice rural site. Its clean and well maintained. Everything needed was there e.g. toilets, waste disposal, grey water.

Disliked Very very busy! Also restaurant closed due to a wedding which was a shame and not communicated during booking, the wedding was also quite loud.

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked The site was perfect, a very short walk into Masham town. Even shorter to the white bear and black sheep!
Very friendly staff, lovely clean loos and showers. Plenty of information. Cafe on site. A beautiful scenic area with short drive into the dales and Fountains abbey.
Will return next year with friends..

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Just about everything, the pitch was great very easy reach of drinking water, waste water disposal and so on. All amenities were first rate and the Knights Table food was brilliant with lovely helpful staffI wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to everyone.

Disliked Tiniest hiccup, could the website say that it is a Long ! 2 miles from the main road.I nearly wanted to stop as I couldn't believe there was an extensive caravan site down this narrow lane.

Powered gravel RV campsite (no awning)

Liked This is a fantastic campsite, spotless and well maintained but it's the onsite Knights Table bar/restaurant (dog friendly) that makes this such a gem.
P.S. WiFi that actually works.

Disliked A little out of the way.

Local attractions

Once you've settled a few days strolling, cycling or cantering in the countryside surrounding Knight Knight Stainforth Caravan and Camping Park (the Pennine Way is close by too if you want to walk 267 miles or so), take a few day trips to find out what else is around: caving, waterfalls, the Lake District and market towns are all easily accessible. Prefer something easier? The superb Settle to Carlisle railway can be picked up a couple of miles away. Cavernous caves and climbing are both for the taking in the area to dig into: White Scar Cave, the longest show cave in England, is nearby at Ingleton and Ingleborough Cave is a little to the east. Tours are available at both. From Malhamdale, clamber the three famous landmarks, Malham Cove, Malham Tarn and Gordale Scar, or walk around all three in the eight-mile clockwise walk from Malham. (More climbing? The Yorkshire Three Peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside await.) Another well-trodden trek in the region is the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, starting and ending at Ingleton on a four-mile rocky road along the River Twiss and past the Pecca, Thornton Force, Beezley Falls, Rival Falls and Snow Falls waterfalls. Or take things a bit easier and wander around the local market towns of Settle, Skipton and Hawes to pick up local produce to have back at base.
