What customers say
Spacious, peaceful campsite with great views, perfect for Yorkshire Three Peaks walks. Guests loved the clean facilities, friendly owners, and quiet vibe. Location is convenient, with pitch choice. Basic but well-kept amenities are good value. Train noise and dim toilets were noted.

Peaceful, well-priced. Very easy camping experience…
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Peaceful, well-priced. Very easy camping experience
Disliked Toilet floors were dirty and rather unpleasant in the morning, which was a shame as they were very clean the previous evening

Excellent site! Clean facilities, loads of space and quiet location.
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lots of space, fairly busy but never felt cramped. Great facilities (hot water for washing up, drinking water, toilets and showers). Owners were around to help with any issues, toilets were cleaned regularly and bins empty. Lovely quiet location with lots of walks nearby and a train line close by.

Good quiet site, limited facilities could do with a bit more upkeep
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked peaceful and quiet, superb views, pitches are nice and flat, well kept, cant fault the setting.
Disliked facilities are OK but just that, toilets are in portal type buildings, lights weren't working when we were there but not massive big deal.
they could do with being a tad bigger and more protected in case of bad weather, maybe under a pergola type wooden setup as exists on other sites.
I think for the price it's a tad expensive but I guess you pay for the location and lack of pother options.
owners seem to be a bit unfriendly and sharp (maybe having a bad day). It would be much easier to be able to pay upfront and online.

Excellent site with very friendly staff and lovely views
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Cragg hill farm is a beautiful basic site we have stayed a few times and will continue to come back, owners are always very friendly, showers and toilets are always clean, plenty of water taps scattered around the site, just something to be aware of with it been a none electricity site the toilets do not have lights so remember your torch, for the price I don’t know what else you would want it’s beautiful with beautiful views and the trains passing are lovey to see

A fantastically priced, no frills getaway.
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Very reasonable price for a decently located, no frills campsite. Well maintained plots and lovely view of Pen-y-ghent. For a quick getaway, does the job and more!
Disliked Sold as a 'peaceful' site but the rules to establish peace not followed. One couple pitching up at 11pm (last check in stated as 9pm), slamming doors for half hour. Details state 'no single-sex parties' yet a group of 4 lads pitch up the second night. 'Quiet time from 9pm' yet they had their music on until gone midnight. No details provided at check in of who to call. Heavy rain caused two of the portaloos to flood (assuming nobody closed the door), but nobody came down to check. Meant only one portaloo was usable as others had locks broke or were just zoned off.

From the manager: The toilets were checked on the edge of darkness and were fine. The next morning three of the toilets were found to have been flooded by a person or persons unknown probably by overflowing the sinks with additional soil trampled in. There are other toilets near the farmhouse.
Your booking confirmation should include contact details but we live on site so if you have any issues with other guests please report to reception.

Great long weekend away
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The site was beautiful, peaceful and well-maintained. It's close enough to walk to the pub or even Pen Y Ghent if you are looking for a challenge, but it's set away from the main road so that all you hear is the river and the birds. Very pleased with the toilets and a comfortable shower.

Good stay but could be better
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Stunning location well kept grass
Disliked No lights in the toilets so it was really dark even during the day, also the showers only stay on for 5 seconds and you keep needing to press the button
