Liked: It’s a clean and tidy park. We have stay before and it’s always been the same, there are lots of areas to play the kids love the park and it’s near by so give them some independence. Not far from Scarborough centre and lovely fish and chip shops restaurants near by. It’s our go to when camping in Scarborough.

Disliked: Showers although warm could be more powerful in the family bathroom.

Liked: What is there not to like about Jasmine Park? The site was great and well ran by the staff who come round every so often to see if everything is ok. The toilet and shower block is kept clean and although there was only 3 showers, I never had to wait to get in. The shop is open for 4 hours a day. 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. Good stock if you need or have forgotten anything. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Other families that we met on the site were all nice too, we had no problems. I felt that the pitch sizes were a good size for a tent and car. Clean toilet/shower facilities. Great no-fuss check in and check out system with personalised barrier code. The little one loved the play area that was very close to our pitch and when he didn’t want to go to the play area there was plenty of space to kick a ball around. Overall we loved the site and we will definitely go back if we choose to go Scarborough way again.

Disliked: Nothing, our experience was great.

Liked: Setting was great. Facilities were very clean. Lots of space around tent. Level pitch. Free wi-fi.

Disliked: Children in next tent playing ball games in front of our tent. Pitch had little grass at the front as clearly it had been used a lot. So if wet it would be muddy. Didn't see option to choose your own pitch.

Liked: The campsite was lovley, the staff were friendly and it was a great week the kids really enjoyed it, lovley campers around us. Our oldest child is autistic and visually impaired and he loved it and we were worried how he'd take it camping but he was happy and we were there the whole week. A great camping place for kids!

Disliked: Nothing to dislike just the water pressure on showers wasn't great but still had showers. Only one family bathroom to share for whole camp so had to wait to bath our baby.

Liked: Lovely clean campsite with nice size pitches, we stayed Monday to Saturday and Monday to Wednesday we couldn’t fault it

Disliked: Thursday there seemed to be a large number of children arrive who all seemed to know each other, they played football very loudly by the tent pitches even though there is a field for this attached to the park now I’m all for kids enjoying their holiday but this was excessive with our car being hit by the ball, to be fair when we arrived we were greeted by a lovely lady who reiterated that if we have any problems there was a number we could call but we didn’t so the site wasn’t given a chance to rectify this, I do feel though that the site should have been monitored more to ensure everyone could enjoy it

Local attractions

Snainton is a pretty village which offers golfing and horse riding as well as trout and coarse fishing at the nearby Wykeham Lakes. If you’re feeling chipper, you can book in for a one-to-one woodturning lesson from the experts at the on-site Snainton Woodworking Centre. The big destination in the area is Scarborough. With 360 years in the tourism trade (it was the country’s first ever seaside resort) this legendary coastal town has plenty of experience in keeping visitors happy. As well as the obvious attractions of the sandy beaches, Italian gardens and the lovely Peasholm Park, there are trips by boat, open air bus or miniature steam railway, and it’s definitely worth making your way up to the imposing castle on the cliff tops. There’s no need to worry about rain stopping play either, thanks to the classic seaside amusements, Sea Life Marine Sanctuary, art gallery and geological museum. You could even hit the casino... The town also has a packed programme of events, concerts and festivals running throughout the year, including the famous Scarborough Fair music festival, Seafest, which combines a celebration of the sea with international folk music; and the annual end of season cricket festival, which has been pulling crowds since 1876. In the opposite direction is the smaller town of Pickering, which is transported back to the 1940s each autumn as part of its annual wartime weekend, but is worth a visit anytime for a trip on the North York Moors Railway, which steams through the National Park from here to Grosmont. Relax and enjoy the ride, try to spot the station used by the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter films, or disembark at one of the platforms along the 18-mile journey for some excellent walking in the glorious Yorkshire countryside. Alternatively, visitors can follow the route taken by their Viking forbears to fun-packed York, home to the Jorvik Viking Centre, the soaringly beautiful architecture of York Minster, the gore and thrills of the York Dungeons, and nationally important railway and air museums. Other attractions that can be reached in under 30 minutes include: Dalby Forest, which offers excellent birdwatching, wildlife spotting and walking; Castle Howard, one of the most beautiful stately homes in the UK, and a venue for concerts and many other events during the summer months; Flamingo Land theme park and zoo; the World War II museum at Eden Camp; and Go Ape!, a tree top adventure playground where visitors can make like Tarzan on the swings, bridges and zipwires.
