Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked We had a fabulous time! We were personally greeted and shown to our pitch by very friendly and helpful staff. We were lucky to be the only tent on the field so we had a lovely quiet stay and our boys had lots of room to play. The shower/toilet block was spotless and very modern. The location was perfect for exploring York and surrounding area! A great campsite, we would definitely visit again!

Liked Lovely campsite, very peaceful
Shop had few bits for what we needed
Toilet and showers amazing so clean and posh.
Fishing was great for my son just wish I knew I had to pay separately beforehand not that I minded just assumed it was all in with the pitch was £10 for 2 rods £6 for 1 rod
But all in all very impressive campsite
Dogs had a nice big space to run around in the old airfield which we were next too
Will be back again xx

Local attractions

Take yourself to a historical site: Duncombe Park (15 minutes’ drive) is known as one of Yorkshire’s finest and in Helmsley (10 minutes), there’s a walled garden and the 900-year-old Helmsley Castle. Rievaulx Abbey (15 minutes) is a stunning ruin and museum, and the scenery is just as stunning, in a valley in the North York Moors. Where else might you flock to for stunning scenery? Yorkshire Lavender (20 minutes) is a clear contender, with a 60-acre lavender farm set across the Yorkshire hills. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (20 minutes) steam train will also send you through the North York Moors scenery at a pace. However, those historic sites are not yet over; this is Yorkshire, after all. Castle Howard (20 minutes) is a grand 18th-century home just 15 miles from historic York (45 minutes).
