Exceptionally clean, well-kept site with great facilities, especially the modern private showers. Owners/staff praised as friendly & helpful. "The Keg Shed" bar is a popular, affordable spot. Spacious, level pitches with hook-ups. Great for beach and exploring. Many want to return!

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked The site was fantastic. It had everything we needed for a great weekend away. Very clean and tidy with helpful, friendly staff.
We really enjoyed the bar area which included pie and peas on Friday night and a game of bingo on Saturday night.
We would definitely return and tell our friends and family how good the site is.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked What a brilliant site, everything is done very well, the pitch sizes are large and very spaced out. The bathrooms / pot wash area is the best we've seen. The bar on the evening was lovely and warm and we we're made to feel very welcome. Great addition was the offer of homemade steak pie (think it's a Friday thing). Easy walk to Mappleton beach which is dog friendly. Excellent, we'll absolute be back with better weather hopefully.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked The owners were so welcoming.and friendly.
The facilities were brilliant very clean and well maintained with individual toilet/ shower rooms.
The pitches are well spaced, all with a hard standing and space for an awning. Water is also sited near the pitch so quick and easy to fill. Many had access for piping directly into the waste.
The on site pub is lovely, beautifully set out and games room upstairs. Open at the weekends and well priced drinks. Although we didnt have food others did and they all said it was very nice. Beautifully decorated and comfortable.
Mappleton beach a walk away, lovely tea house just at the top of the beach road, the old post office.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked A wonderful gem of a site with a friendly welcome!
Great facilities in pristine condition. Secure area with coded entry. Plot sizes were more than generous. One way driving perfect for allowing the child to safely walk to the toilet and back. Did not visit ‘the keg shed’ as only visiting for one night but it looked very pretty and the fellow campers clearly had a cracking time. It wasn’t too loud at all for us one night hermits.
Super easy to find and a short walk and even shorter drive to the lovely untouched Mappleton coast.

Disliked Not a dislike- more of a suggestion. There were plenty of bins but I didn’t see any recycling bins. I like to try and do my bit for the environment so recycling bins would’ve be appreciated.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked This campsite was just what we needed!
Each pitch had electric and water. Nice level pitches. Could choose which pitch we wanted. Site was neat and very tidy. Plenty of bins around.
Toilet and shower were incredible. Showers lovely and hot. Clean and tidy too.
Then had a little bar on site which was lovely, very modern and prices were great! Had a txt days prior asking if wanted to order pie or hot dogs which was scrumptious.
Lovely walk into Hornsea from beach just up the road from site. A caravan site opposite had a little shop so was able to get bits to restock.

Disliked Nothing at all 🤩

Local attractions

Mappleton beach (10 minutes’ walk away) is an undeveloped stretch of sand that allows dogs all year and has a nice coffee shop where you can warm up after a long walk or a dip in the sea. Cowden beach (10 minutes) is another pretty little sandy cove that was once used as a RAF training ground – old shells can sometimes be spotted among the rocks, as can fossils. Up in Hornsea (five minutes’ drive), there’s a golf club and shopping outlet, plus boating on Hornsea Mere and animals to meet at Bugtopia Hornsea Zoo and Honeysuckle Farm. To see marine creatures instead, head into Hull (half an hour), home of the excellent The Deep aquarium. For a glimpse into the area’s history, head into Beverley (25 minutes) to see the minster and museum, or stop by at Burton Constable Hall & Grounds (15 minutes), where you can tour the grand house, stroll through the Capability Brown-designed parkland and find various activities and play areas for the kids.
