This charming village is best known for the Rudston Monolith, the tallest standing stone in the UK, rising 7.6 metres within the courtyard of All Saints Church. In the village, you’ll also find a garage and the Bosville Arms Country Hotel, which serves food and welcomes visitors. Nearby attractions include the Thorpe Hall Estate, where visitors can enjoy beautiful gardens and a variety of events held throughout the year. Just a five-mile drive along picturesque country roads leads to Hunmanby, an ideal spot for picking up essentials, with two small convenience stores, a deli, a pharmacy, and a good selection of takeaways and pubs. A little further afield, the coastal town of Bridlington offers a wide sandy beach, family-friendly attractions, and the beautiful Sewerby Hall and Gardens—a must-visit for those travelling with children. The town also boasts a range of independent shops and activities suitable for all ages. For a day trip, the historic resort town of Scarborough is within easy reach.
