  • Peaceful back-to-basics site on a working farm in the North Pennines
  • Four miles from High Force and Low Force waterfalls
  • A few minutes' walk from a village with pubs and cafés
The Hideaway at Hudegate Farm is a peaceful site on a working farm in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's a few minutes' walk from the village of Middleton-in-Teesdale, where you'll find shops, cafés and restaurants. In the surrounding area there are plenty of walking and cycling routes, including the 268-mile Pennine Way, which passes nearby. One of the most popular walks from the site heads north on a four-mile route to take in both Low Force and High Force waterfalls. You can also fish nearby, either in the River Tees or at Grassholme Reservoir. This is a back-to-basics site with minimal facilities in the form of a toilet cabin and clean water. Friendly dogs are welcome.
