Powered grass campsite

Liked: From the moment we booked we received clear, helpful and supportive communication. They noted our requests and actioned them perfectly . It’s a Spacious, well kept, clean, Beautifully picturesque field with clear, well spaced out pitches on an even ground .. the shower blocks are simple yet clean and sufficient On our first morning , one of the owners , Andrew came and introduced himself and had a lovely chat where he made sure we were all ok and shared his local knowledge too . We would highly recommend this site . (We = 2 adults and 2 children aged 14 and 12 (who has asd as well as other additional needs which we’re sensitively taken care of by the host who has experience in such needs ) and our dog )

Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Liked: Close toilet and shower facilities to pitch. Communal area had fridge, freezer and microwave. All areas were clean

Disliked: Could hear the trains nearby. Not much in walking distance.

From the manager: Hi Brady, Thank you for leaving us a review, pleased to hear you found our facilities clean and easy to get to. Sorry to hear about the local railway line, There are lots of lovely walks around here into Woodbridge, Melton and local villages. We have a big shopping estate about 20 minute walk up the road. Local shops and pubs. Catch a bus down the road to take you to Felixstowe, Framlingham or Ipswich. Hope this helps if you wish to visit us again in the future. Regards Kylie

Liked: Good location, good size pitch and nice calm surroundings. Shower block was decent and quite clean. Would stay again!

Disliked: Less of a dislike and more a recommendation. We couldn’t find a freezer for ice blocks only a fridge - would suggest a freezer would be more worthwhile.

From the manager: Thank you for your review we are pleased you had a great stay. Regarding the freezer we will have a look and see if we can get one put into the wash up area as unfortunately it is only a little space. regards Kylie

Local attractions

Suffolk has much in the way of history to discover, from walks along fortified walls at majestic Framlingham Castle or the towering keep and maze of underground passages at Orford Castle (both 25 minutes’ drive). And of course one of the big-hitting attractions in these parts is the Anglo-Saxon burial treasures at Sutton Hoo (20 minutes), all gloriously displayed in a National Trust-owned exhibition. Many local countryside walks and cycle routes include pub stops, and you can play golf or take to horseback to ride through local woodlands within a half-hour’s drive. The odd rainy day is taken care of with a swimming pool and cinema in Ipswich (20 minutes). The seaside town of Felixstowe (25 minutes) is a great day trip for splashing around off the sandy beach or checking out the arcades along the pier, while Flatford Mill (40 minutes) sits in gorgeous countryside in Constable Country and is a popular spot for walks along the River Stour and in Dedham Vale.
