  • Spacious grass pitches on a working farm in Suffolk
  • A mile and a half from Glemsford; Bury St Edmunds 20 minutes' drive
  • Surrounded by scenic country walks and car-free footpaths
Braggons Farm is a peaceful and rural campsite set in the pretty Suffolk countryside near the village of Glemsford. Located roughly 20 minutes' drive from the popular town of Bury St Edmunds, this small-scale farm site is set in a typical East Anglian landscape in the grounds of an arable farm that's been worked by the same family for three generations. Braggons Farm has very easy access to walks and footpaths, many of which area directly accessible from the site. (Please use common sense if walking around the site, though, as this is a working farm and livery stables with horses and heavy machinery nearby). With just a small number of pitches available (which are clearly signposted at the farm entrance) and a friendly member of the site team on hand to greet you, it won't take long before you feel right and home and ready to explore the lovely local landscape. Facilities-wise, the farm has a loo in the camping field. Hedges surround the main pitching field, which is handy in offering protection from the elements. Please note that there is no electricity or running water on site. For provisions, stock up in Bury St Edmunds or Sudbury (both 20 minutes), where there are supermarkets.
