Powered grass tent or RV campsite

Liked Clean and well maintained toilets, showers and washing up facilities.
Hairdryer in the female toilets.
Stunning sunsets.
Great walking from the campsite and Coast hopper bus was cheap and reliable.
Pub and well supplied shop in Stiffkey both great.
Friendly and welcoming owners.
Location is perfect for nature lovers being on the edge of the salt marshes.

Disliked Nothing within anyone's control but campers should pack some rock pegs. The excellent hardware shop in Sheringham sells really good ones if you forget!
This is a coastal location so prepare for a bit of breeze.

Powered grass tent or RV campsite

Liked Great site in a great location.
The whole site was very clean and tidy at all times. The shower block and toilets were incredibly clean at all times.
Situated on the edge of a National Trust marshland and a coastal path. It is a 3.5 mile walk to Wells, which is ideal.
Stiffkey village has a nice pub that does food and also a village shop.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite

Liked Clean, well maintained shower and toilet block with modern hand dryers and hot water. Cleaned daily. Easy access to the marshes and local walks. Friendly and knowledgeable staff/owners, a warm welcome! Very large, well maintained and clear pitches and paths. Lots of birds to spot, wish I’d brought a bird book.

Disliked This isn’t a complaint as I have quite a dark tent.. I was pitched quite near the toilet block, noise wasn’t a problem as all other campers were considerate and quiet, but the bright lights were on through the night. Would request a pitch further from the block if you need the dark to sleep.

Local attractions

Coastal antics are likely to dominate much of your time here – top highlights locally are the colourful beach huts and seafood restaurants of Wells-next-the-Sea (10 minutes’ drive), the sweeping forest-backed sands of Holkham beach (15 minutes) and boat trips from Morston Quay (15 minutes) to see the resident seals of Blakeney. While you’re at the coast, it’s very much worth stopping by at Holkham Hall (15 minutes) to stroll around the grounds or visit the hall’s art collection. Other historic buildings nearby include the atmospheric ruins of Binham Priory (10 minutes) and the Jacobean mansion Blickling Hall (35 minutes). A different take on the past awaits at Langham Dome (five minutes), which gives an insight into life on an airfield through World War II. Sticking to the outdoor scenery, perhaps you’d like to take walks through Holt Country Park (20 minutes) or the gorgeous grounds of National Trust - Sheringham Park (25 minutes). For an easier way to see your surroundings, try a ride on the North Norfolk Railway from Holt station (20 minutes).
