  • Small family-run rural Norfolk pop-up site a mile from the coast
  • Mundesley five minutes' drive; 20 minutes to Cromer
  • On the Paston Way route, with field views and access to footpaths
The fact that this place is just at the eastern tip of the Norfolk Coast National Landscape should give you a hint that this is a scenic spot indeed – and one that mixes up countryside and coastal landscapes too. Hollow Tree Hideaways is a family-run site surrounded by green and peaceful farmland about 10 minutes’ drive from North Walsham. As well as having access to a network of local footpaths, it’s located on the Paston Way path, a 22-mile trail that showcases some of the best villages, heritage sights and beaches of north-east Norfolk. Speaking of beaches, they’re not far off at all – it’s about a five-minute drive to either Bacton or Mundesley, the latter a handy seaside village with a bakery, a butcher and a couple of takeaways. If you’ve picked up supplies at the shops, you’ll be welcome to bring along a barbecue to create an alfresco meal on site. This family-run is a simple setup where the only facilities are portable toilets (please note there are no on-site showers). You’ll have plenty of peaceful space to relax in though, and you can tailor your pitch to your own needs with things like a gazebo or an awning; dogs are also permitted to join you on your laidback Norfolk break.
