Pine views FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Just got back from a 3 night stay at Pinecones. Wow our pitch was brilliant. We had a table and bench on our pitch, which came in very handy. We had plenty of room which is always a bonus. The individual toilet/showers was brill and very clean, loved the music being played while using the facilities. The area is very well kept and maintained. Bens bar is very nice with plenty of seating inside and out. The kids play area is good, my granddaughter loved that. The watching hut, with binoculars is very good. The onsite shop is good and well stocked. The staff are very friendly and always smiling. We did a little walk trying to get to the beach, took a wrong turn on our walk, but we saw lots of different birds and animals along our way, This site is very dog friendly which is always a bonus. Overall I would definitely recommend this site to anyone.

Disliked: Nothing

Pine views FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Great location and easy to find. We liked the facilities were clean and heated and the music was a nice touch. We also liked the idea of the little pub on the site, unfortunately we didn’t get to use it as it was closed on Sundays. Wi-fi worked well.

Disliked: Excessive noise from one family on the play park was an irritation, but not the park’s fault. If we return we’d book early and request a pitch further back. A warning to anyone using an awning, don’t leave food in there. An animal managed to get into ours in the early hours and whilst there was no food, it pulled a few things about looking. Again, not the park’s fault, it’s a rural area.

Sandy Acres powered grass and sand campsite

Liked: Lovely quiet site. Perfect location with walks to sandringham and the beach. Friendly pub on site serving delicious fish & chips ! Liked the idea of a shower room rather than separate shower and toilet which were kept very clean

Liked: Super helpful friendly service. All areas clean and tidy. Excellent heated bathrooms with showers with piped music! Pitch had heated wooden hut, electric and water on good hard standing. Cute little on site pub.

Sandy Acres powered grass and sand campsite

Liked: Facilities

Disliked: Very small dislike but the pitches weren’t full and my pitch was put next to a family of 6. (I am a solo traveller) if the site was full, I completely understand but maybe a bit of consideration of what pitches are allocated when possible. I was moved in the end because of the noise and children running onto my pitch. The staff were very helpful when I mentioned it.

From the manager: Thank you for your comments and unfortunately the booking system automatically allocate the pitches. Please let us know when you return and we can pop you on a pitch that is of your preference. Thank you

Pine views FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: The toilet and shower blocks are very spacious and clean. It’s dog friendly with no charge for them to stay and has plenty of drink stations available. Bar area is also dog friendly. Its close to Hunstanton and convenience shops. Good food served by Norfolk Nibbles on site.

Disliked: How close the tent section is to the touring section on the standard serviced pitches. It could do with some strubs or higher fences in between

Local attractions

Beaches, historic houses, museums and festivals, tiny villages, market towns and fab family days out are all easily accessible from Pine Cones Caravan and Camping – after a day at Sandringham, but of course, to wave at the king first... Within a couple of miles, the deer safaris, farming activities and walking trails of Snettisham Deer Park and the sights and smells of Norfolk Lavender are both good options for a day out; Snettisham has an RSPB reserve too for those itching to twitch. But as you're probably in west/north Norfolk for the beaches, head to Heacham, Holkham and Hunstanton first, the closest sands to Pine Cones, and then take a trip to Brancaster 11 miles away; the family-friendly and very scenic sands of Sheringham, Cromer and Mundsley are a little further along the coast. (Also, the final scenes of Shakespeare in Love were filmed at Holkham, and all the beaches in these parts are fairly filmworthy, so bring your camera.) Other excellent options for days out include village hopping and shopping among the scenic sights of Dersingham, Holt, Fakenham, Aylsham and Burnham Market to pick up some local produce, or going along to one of Norfolk's festivals or events: there's usually something going on throughout the year. Pine Cones is also on the edge the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – bring walking boots, crabbing nets and plenty of room for picnics.
