What customers say

This well-kept, quiet site near Sheringham & Cromer has clean facilities, hot showers, and useful amenities. The car-free setup is a plus. Some guests noted uneven ground, possible road/farm/air traffic noise, and occasional toilet/shower shortages on busy weekends.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Gorgeous campsite, by far the nicest toilets, showers, and facilities we’ve ever experienced while camping. The site is perfect for children, with plenty of space to play safely while still being supervised. The owner was incredibly helpful, arriving within five minutes when we had a small issue. We’ll definitely be returning, and next time we can’t wait to stay in one of the beautiful bell tents!

1 bedroom bell tent

Liked The overall theme Georgy has given the place!Flower names to each pitch, bunting around the inside of the bell tent, attractive outdoor rugs, cute bedside lamps and fairy lights to the entrance. Truly magical finishing touches!

Disliked I dont think it was made clear during booking that we would not have a log burner in our bell tent. Luckily we didn't need it but it was a shame we were unable to use one if we had wanted to.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Great location for walking and cycling. Quiet site.
Showers were great, toilets always clean.

Disliked £15 a night to use a fire pit on top of £10 for the wood makes for an expensive fire!

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked how it is its own area with no roads near except one which was quiet during the night. the pitches are lovely and spacious. the toilets and showers were lovely and clean.

Disliked only had two problems which was the showers can be boiling hot, it was very difficult to shower especially during the summer too. and next is electric pitch 1 it is its own little pitch and the park is right next to you and the kids that were there kept cutting across our pitch and they kept tripping over our guide ropes so was very nervous about leaving the tent during the day and as we had our stove out too it can be very dangerous and its a bit uncomfortable as you want your own privacy especially when you get assigned your own little pitch.

Liked Lovely quiet small site.
Good location near Sheringham and Felbrigg Hall.

Liked not having cars on site, but trolleys provided made it easy to move our things.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Facilities were clean and in good condition. However when the site was full (15 pitches - several with children ) two toilets are not enough and queuing outside in the rain is not fun!

Disliked Noise ! There is noise from the adjacent road and screaming motorbikes at night on the A148. The site is also on a flight path for military jets and other light aircraft so at times there is a steady stream during the day of very loud aircraft noise directly over head.
The site is also next to a large field on a working farm and the farmer was ploughing his forks from 7pm until 10pm at night, just a few feet the other side of a hedge from our pitch and throwing clouds of dust over the hedge with a very noisy tractor and machinery.
This was not at all quiet or relaxing. I have no problem with the farmer as he has a farm to run and I’m sure the farm was there long before this field was used for camping but this is just not a suitable site for a camp site, for the reasons given above.

The site is also closely overlooked by several houses at one end so you do feel that you are being watched - strangely, this is not shown on any of the photographs on the web site !

Most of the site is also very uneven ‘lumpy’ ground. I would guess it was a field that has been previously ploughed but it has not been flattened or leveled properly so the site, including the pitches, is hard to walk on in places and you have to watch your footing - especially at night when it’s very dark.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Location was brilliant. Site itself very pleasant. Helpful to have the kettle and fridge. Toilets and showers clean.

Disliked Wood for sale did not burn well. Mouldy and wet. Not sure why the insistence was on using that wood!

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and found the kettle and fridges helpful.
Our team will look into the issues you raised with the wood. We have logs and charcoal onsite to make it easier for all guests but don't insist that guests only use our wood.
