Liked: The individual pitches are beautifully presented, private and very natural with trees and long grasses.
Disliked: It would be nice to be greeted and directed to your site and told about facilities, etc. Theres a chalk board with your name and site location at the entrance. Contacted owner by phone and text but no reply but fortunately bumped into Kevin by chance who kindly assisted us with regard to power and food provision, etc. The pitch grass mowings are left on the ground which stick to your feet and follow you into the tent and facilities. The washroom lacked either paper hand towels or a hand dryer. Location was not that peaceful, there was quite a bit of background noice.

From the manager: Hi Cherry, We're absolutely devastated and a little confused to receive this review which does not reflect the experience we felt was provided. You did reference this was your first camping trip and so maybe expectations were running out of kilter. As a small family site we cannot man a 24hr concierge service. You arrived late on a Sunday evening as I was preparing dinner for my 3 young children. We spoke ahead of your stay and I also emailed with clear site instructions a few days before. My husband met you on site within a few minutes of your arrival. You had been cycling all day and arrived with no food or provisions. He went above and beyond providing eggs from our chickens and free milk as well as lending you an electric hook up cable. You purchased pasta, pesto and other provisions from our honesty shop. He chatted through the site plus gave some advice on local breakfast options. The conversation was pleasant, courteous and you shared lots of details about your cycling plans up to north Norfolk. It's not clear why this would deserve a 4/10 for customer service. It’s hard to know what more could have been done. With regards to grass…it goes hand in hand with camping. Being an eco friendly site we have a lawn mower designed to mulch the grass which is much better than removing it. We do provide a dust pan and brush in the communal kitchen for people to borrow to sweep their tents. Overwhelmingly customers reference the peaceful and tranquil setting so it’s hard to understand your reference to background noise. We're in a rural setting surrounded by countryside so maybe the birds were singing loudly during your visit.

Liked: Spacious pitches with long grass and wildflower borders for privacy. Communal kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave and kettle. Firepits, wood, snacks through honesty payment system, pay before you leave. Toilets & showers clean & not too far from pitches. Electric provided for each pitch & owners kindly provided an extension for this. Really good location for exploring Norfolk/Suffolk. Close to supermarkets etc when needed.
Disliked: Unfortunately Saturday night myself & my daughter were kept up til past midnight by loud music from a nearby wedding venue or pub. Totally out of the hosts control and I would still absolutely recommend this site & return myself.

Liked: Lovely campsite, great clean amenities, and a lovely location to explore Suffolk and Norfolk. Great for camping with young children. We'd recommend Covehithe beach (20 mins) for dogs and children, and Sutton Hoo (60 mins) for history. Liked the Ecofriendliness, easy recycling.
Disliked: - Road noise - No view - some pitches were 'nicer' than others. - Never met the owners, but they did WhatsApp message.

Liked: Loved this site. So charming, many thoughtful features like honesty box system, in the kitchen there were snacks, bottles of ketchup, fridge and freezer available. Free roaming chickens kept us entertained. Kids run a little tuck shop some evenings where we could get goodies like fresh laid eggs and marshmallows for the campfire. Fire system was also great very good burning firewood properly seasoned to purchase on site. We will absolutely be back again possibly once a year and with more family members. Location was so perfect.

Liked: All pitches good distance to toilet & communal kitchin, nice facilities, well lit, eco friendly camp,
Disliked: Maybe another fridge in communal kitchin or somewhere, when camp is full there is no room in the fridge.

Liked: We received a lovely welcome and the facilities were great including Wi-Fi. The pitches are all separate which meant you had a good amount of privacy.
Disliked: The parking was a bit tight, but I believe that was due to others bringing more than one car. Our pitch was quite muddy where the grass had died, resulting in quite a messy tent. Unfortunately had some noisy neighbours who weren’t too good at observing the 9-9 quiet hours.

Bumblebee camping pod
Liked: Loved everything about this small but perfectly formed campsite. Our pod was extremely comfortable and had everything we could have wanted. I particularly liked the way the site is set up giving each pod or camp area privacy with meandering footpath’s mowed into wildflower banks. Great private bathroom with our pod too! Will definitely book again!!
Disliked: Nothing
