A sunny day on site
Plenty of space
Around the grounds

  • Peaceful family-run site a short stroll from the Great Ouse river
  • Canoe and small craft launch, fishing and play park
  • Acclaimed dog-friendly gastropub within 150 metres
Pitch up near the river and launch your canoe with ease at this small, secluded, friendly and well-maintained green site in Cambridgeshire countryside… or dangle a rod into the water for a spot of (free) coarse fishing, or keep a lazy eye on the offspring at the play park while you lounge about in this scenic setting… all up for easy grabs at Willows Park and Marina near Huntingdon and a short stroll from the Great Ouse river. All pitches are on grass, some under the handsome willow trees. Both areas have easy access to the well-maintained and heated bathroom block with toilets, showers, a big disabled-access bathroom, a laundry room and washing-up areas. There's plenty of room around the site and along the river for wanders; if your feet want to take you further, you can hook up with the Ouse Valley Way from Brampton or Huntingdon (or both; The Willows lies between the two). There's more coarse fishing too at the lake 750 metres away, you can hire boats a couple of miles away, and the watersports and events of Grafham Water are within 20 minutes' drive. Barbecues are allowed on site, but you might, sensibly, opt to sup and sip instead at the neighbouring Brampton Mill gastropub by the river a minute's walk away: it's dog-friendly here too.

Powered grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Great location with fabulous walks for us and the dog. Supermarket nearby and the site was very well maintained. Also really good pub closeby.

Disliked: The shower and toilet block was not up to standard. Showers were very old and they desperately needed an update Toilets were clean however there were so many dead flies and moths in the cobwebs on the light fittings which had clearly not been cleaned for some time. If this issue was addressed then a 5* review would have been given. Also we could not find the grey waste disposal for motorhome, may have just not seen it however friends with us could not find it either. Not a problem if you had a caravan.

From the manager: Very unfair review Maxine as we accommodated all your requests you by passed our check in by allowing your friends to let you in! ! I'm sure you are aware they appear from nowhere this time of year and it take a spider 30 - 60 minutes to spin a web! Rest assured they are cleaned every day but unfortunately not ever hour! Please be aware we are a ' touring park/camp site' in a very rural location not a 5 star hotel!! Deeply saddens me some people have too much time on their hands and always find time to be negative. To anybody reading please read the review below that stayed at the same time and rated up 10/10 :-)

Powered grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Great location.

Disliked: This site is let down by the cleaner. Although the actual toilets/sinks were clean the rest if the facility need a good clean as they are ( no other was to put this) really dirty. Such a shame because although the toilet block is a bit old, if it had be cleaned properly this site would be 5 star all the way.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Think you might be mixing our facilities up with another site? 98% of our reviews even the one below who stayed the same time as you rate our facilities as 'clean' maybe out dated but certainly not dirty. You comment toilets and sinks clean but the rest dirty??!! Its a caravan park in a very rural location not a 5* Hotel after all!! Good luck in your future travels!

Liked: Great park, clean and tidy. Close to good cycle paths and parks and lovely walks too.

Disliked: Was difficult to contact the management.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your review so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Not sure why you feel the need to say 'difficult to contact management' as we have one missed call from you 30 seconds prior to your check in call as was checking somebody else in! Sad you feel the need to post a negative unnecessary comment and should appreciate Friday afternoons are our busiest time! Sorry you had to wait 30 seconds maybe if you had arrived as 'you stated at 12' instead of 1307 you might not of had to wait!

Liked: Location and Layout of the site really nice.

Disliked: Not the best welcome we've had not very friendly, felt a bit of a burden. No Motorhome grey waste disposal that we could find. (did'nt like to ask ) Toilet blocks not very clean and don't need complicated entrance lock.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Think you might be mixing us up as always greet guests with a smile!! All site information was on hand out you were given on check in... waste etc The entrance lock is simple (a 4 digit code?! and is there for your safety as we sit on a public foot path!

Liked: Found Sharon extremely welcoming and friendly. Lovely peaceful site and well looked after. Added bonus of a couple of pubs within walking distance and a nice walk into town or the country park. Personally prefer these smaller kind of sites to the larger club ones. Thankyou for an enjoyable 3 nights

For watery sports, there's a sailing club and a watersports centre at Grafham Water, alongside a good-size centre that also includes outdoor playgrounds, Segway hire, a 10-mile circular cycle track (and bike hire), and trout and coarse fishing. The centre's 200-acre nature reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest runs regular activities and events.
