Just One Bell Tent

Miles of footpaths lead from the site if you want to explore on foot, and the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (20 minutes' drive) is criss-crossed with walking trails like the Worcestershire Way (five minutes), while the rather more strenuous hike along Malvern Ridge to the Worcestershire Beacon (20 minutes ) has truly spectacular views. If you’re after more sporting action, you can go canoeing on the River Severn (25 minutes) and scale indoor climbing walls (20 minutes). There’s a choice of golf courses within a 20-minute drive, and fishing ponds (10 minutes) for catching carp and pike. Worcester (20 minutes) is a lovely old city with half-timbered buildings, a cluster of museums and an historic cathedral as well as waterside walks along the Severn. If you fancy a night out on the town, there’s a great selection of pubs and restaurants there too. Closer to base camp, you’ll also find a couple of pubs and takeaways in the local village of Bransford (10 minutes).
