Riverside primitive grass campsite

Liked: We have just recently stayed at Lickhill manner for the bank holiday weekend. We were greeted by a friendly staff. The area where we pitched our tent was lovely, the grass was cut and there were lots of pitches to choose from. We Loved how clean the toilet/wash room and all facilities were throughout our stay. I didn’t see me piece of litter. The parks were great for the kids and there was so much space for them to run around. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Riverside primitive grass campsite

Liked: The site was immaculate and despite the huge amounts of rain recently the ground was well looked after so no boggy pitches. We requested to be by the playground with our young children and eveb though we booked non electric they honoured our request and gave us the perfect pitch facing the playground. The site is large enough that you don't need to leave if you don't want to. We spent our time exploring different areas of the site and the two playgrounds keot the kids entertained all BH weekend.

Disliked: If we are being very fussy a small shop to buy essentials would be ideal but there are plenty in the local area

Riverside powered grass campsite

Liked: Our first visit to this campsite with our sons (8 & 6) and won’t be our last! Couldn’t fault the customer service. Very prompt replies to emails. They accommodated our request to be pitched up next to our friends with their young son. Check in was really quick and easy. We were a couple of minutes walk to the river and to the toilets/shower. Both parks were great for the children. The washing up facilities were always clean and had sponges and washing up liquid available. The WiFi was on the whole good. The toilets and showers were regularly cleaned. Plenty of pub benches available to have on your pitch. Very well maintained campsite. Great pitch sizes, good facilities, beautiful setting.

Riverside primitive grass campsite

Liked: Beautiful site with a 15 minute walk along the river to the center of Stourport. Well kept toilets and refuse facilities and plenty of space for our tent. Plenty to do in the local area.

Disliked: Wifi never seemed to work properly, but phone reception was good so it wasn't a problem.

Riverside powered grass campsite

Liked: We had a fabulous time. The site is massive, really pretty. Friendly staff. Ice cream van visited which was a huge hit with the kids. Picnic benches for each pitch were a bonus, only downside was having to carry them ourselves from the edge of the field! The toilets were ok. Bins usually overflowing and dirty floors. The WiFi hit and miss as you would expect in a field I guess!

Disliked: Toilets should have been cleaned more often

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: The site is absolutely beautiful. Set in lovely grounds with lovely lakes , swans, ducks, wildlife. The facilities are excellent. Good location to walk along the river to Stourport on Severn.

Disliked: Some of the grass patches were flooded which meant the site had to close them. We only stayed 3 nights but didn't get to meet the wardens .

Local attractions

Lickhill Manor Caravan Park is a short walk along the river from the canal town of Stourport-on-Severn. If you're not one of those lucky lucky sorts to have brought your own boat, meander here lickety split for canal trips, steamer cruises, amusements, heritage wanders and more at Stourport Riverside and Stourport Canal Basins: the Severn is the UK's longest river so you're bound to find something to get your whistle whetted. Elsewhere, this Worcestershire wildlife haven is a most convenient locale for other adventures, like a whopping total of 11 nearby fishing pools and the West Midlands Safari Park (or – a splendid idea – combining fishing with critters at the Shatterford Lakes Wildlife Sanctuary & Fishery). Two most interesting museums are in the vicinity: the award-winning Black Country Living Museum at Dudley, 26 acres with 80,000 items in its collection (and tram rides), and the Bewdley Museum, with resident craftspeople and loads of local artefacts. The 16-mile trip of the Severn Valley Railway is also a topping option as a heritage highlight, as are Hartlebury Castle and Worcester Cathedral within easy driving distance. If the kids like the West Midlands Safari Park, take them to feed the deer at Rays Farm just over the border at Brignorth in Shropshire; here there be llamas, alpacas, donkeys, micro pigs, rabbits and 25 owls too. And all ages will like a wander in nearby Wyre Forest, where there's also a Go Ape! for those feeling energetic.
