  • Family-run site in the Malvern Hills, a 10-minute drive from Ledbury
  • Eastnor Castle 10 minutes’ drive; Worcester half an hour
  • On-site fishing lakes; dogs on lead welcome; nearby hiking trails
Literally on the edge of the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (cross the B4208, and you’re within the AONB), family-run Kings Green Caravan Park is part of a working farm a 10-minute drive from Ledbury. This is a spectacular patch of Worcestershire countryside, with gentle hills, fields dotted with sheep and arable land all around. All of which is an oblique way of saying that it’s pretty quiet around these parts and that your sleep should be undisturbed by traffic noise or noisy neighbours. With the Malvern Hills well within your sights, chances are you can’t wait to lace up your boots, and with several trails starting directly from the site, you’re in for many long days of exploration. Your dog (who’s welcome at the site, as long as you keep it on a lead) should also be happy with the exercise on these hikes, which might take you to places like Golden Valley nature reserve (about an hour on foot, or five minutes by car) – or to cosy country pubs like the one in Berrow (35 minutes’ walk or a five-minute drive). Hiking not your jam? Maybe you prefer a more sedentary pursuit? The site has two fishing lakes, where (for a small daily fee) you can try catching carp, roach and other species. There's a well-maintained toilet and shower block (plus facilities for disabled guests), a washing-up area and a launderette with tumble dryer and iron. Shower tokens are required to use the shower, and there's also a cash deposit required for the toilet and shower block keys. If you need to use the laundry or the washing-up area, you will also need to pay in cash.

What customers say

This clean, peaceful campsite boasts immaculate, modern restrooms. Spacious, level pitches are great for fishing. While some felt it wasn't family-friendly due to activity limits, most enjoyed the quiet and helpful staff, many planning return trips.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked We stayed at Kings Green Caravan Park August 2025. We chose it because it was reasonably priced and had laundry facilities and we needed a utility stop. Just £20 a night was a bargain.

It’s a lovely site on a working farm and it is immaculate. Very quiet mid week and mostly caravans but has field camping and electric hook up if you need to plug in (we didn’t go on an electric hook up but from memory it really was only a couple of £’s more if you needed EHU) it has laundry facilities, Elsan, grey water, fresh water points, showers, loos, bins, wash up. The showers and laundry are token based (50p shower £2 washer and £2 dryer. Cheap as chips!) if you’re using the laundry, the key is yours until you’ve finished so it’s not a shared space which was brilliant. It’s a large room with washer, dryer, sink and ironing boards and you come and go as you please while you’re waiting for the appliances to finish. (Irons are also chargeable but I didn’t use those - I don’t iron, awful contraptions)

At the back of the property are two beautiful fish ponds. It’s only £5 for a day ticket and in 15 minutes we watched one guy pull out 4 decent carp with another chap we spoke to packing up because he’d had enough. He’d lost count. I’ve never seen water like it. A fish a chuck and I mean within seconds of the bait hitting the water. No shy carp here. They are very friendly fish. A few greedy perch in there too. I think we’d go back here just for the fishing ponds.

The owners are lovely too, really nice family. Oh and cute farm cats if you’re lucky enough to see one - what’s not to love.

Liked Peace and quiet

Disliked Not disabled friendly if you have a dog, you can’t walk your dog around the site you have to take them off site along a grass verge on a busy country lane, (not easy if you use a stick and have walking difficulties)to a public footpath, all other footpaths had stiles, too high for me or dog to get over. Tokens for showers that last 6 minutes, you need to get undressed in cubicles then go into shower block to put your token in, no temperature control on shower and not very powerful, I had to finish rinsing my hair under tap. My husband would have liked to go fishing but couldn’t leave me to take the dog out.

Liked Beautifully maintained site, a friendly welcome (and they kindly leant us an extension lead as ours wasn't long enough) and a spotless shower block. Lovely views from site and the fishing lakes which you can walk around are lovely too.

I would say it seems this site does cater for a slightly older demographic which isn't an issue but may not be suit groups with several young children (we just had one 6 year old) but it you want a quite and relaxed site this is perfect.

Disliked Nothing really to dislike, I did read a few reviews moaning about having to have a key for toilet block and tokens for shower but it really wasn't an issue for us.

Liked The site was nice and level, quiet and well cared for. Toilets and shower very clean and sites for water, grey water, rubbish and chemical waste well situated and signed. Friendly owners and customers there for the season. Beautiful scenery and woodland walk within easy walking distance. The Three choirs way was really lovely. Next time we would take our bikes as the little lanes around the site are very suitable.

Disliked It would be nice not to have to pay extra for the showers but they were worth it.
It would have been nice to have had a pub/ eating place to walk to in an evening.

Liked Owner very professional and organised. Amazing shower rooms clean and the best I’ve seen.

Disliked Pitches too close together and not near any shops, pubs cafes and all walks required dogs too be on leads due to cows etc.
No view of any hills as the hedges were too high.
A girls for dogs to run free near by would be perfect.

Local attractions

The magnificent rooms of 19th-century Eastnor Castle (10 minutes’ drive) are hung with enormous chandeliers and adorned with portraits, rich tapestries and decorative objects. Herds of red deer inhabit the surrounding grounds, which also host medieval re-enactments, firework displays and other events. Stretching along the banks of the Severn, Worcester (half an hour) has a splendid 11th-century cathedral with a Gothic nave and colourful stained-glass windows. You can learn all about the city’s production of porcelain in the Museum of Royal Worcester, while the Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum has displays on the renowned local sauce. The cathedral in Gloucester (half an hour) is famed for its connection to Harry Potter (several film scenes were shot in the elegant cloister). The city, which is England’s most inland port, is also worth a visit for its Victorian docks, where former warehouses now shelter independent shops, lively cafes and institutions like the National Waterways Museum.
