Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked: Lovely place. been there many times. Owners are friendly, beautiful lakes to walk around. Sensibly priced and good food at the café. The Alpacas are amazing. Toilets and showers are excellent.
Disliked: Not much really....the approach road is very bumpy, so don't take your Lamborghini.

Liked: The peaceful campsite with great facilities (even if they are at the bottom of a hill). Nice flat pitches and easy to avoid the bit of geese poo which is bound to happen when surrounded by nature! Great stay!

Liked: Very clean site with good facilities and friendly staff. The kids loved the alpacas. Overall a very good site for a weekend camp with the kids.
Disliked: Not allowing camp fires Understandable with it being a farm but that's the only thing missing.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked: It’s a lovely small campsite, rural but with easy access to pubs, shops and the motorway. The facilities are basic, as described, and always clean.
Disliked: This was our second visit to this site. The first visit was lovely but it was unfortunate that we had several campers that were a little inconsiderate and crowding around our tents even though there was plenty of available space in the field (I suspect because we were closer to the road/parking) Note, one of the caravans had a generator and while they did switch it off at midnight we had to spend the evening listen to it drone on. We did message the owners of the campsite but I’m not sure if they took any action. It has put me off visiting again as I don’t want to have to try and sleep through that noise again!

Liked: It’s set in a lovely place with out standing views and there’s also a lovely little cafe on site with pleasant people running the place.
Disliked: Unfortunately, the toilets are down steep hill and could do with a block on the campsite itself. Personally, I think that one of the fishing lakes should be kept for every day, anglers. And not competitions. On a Saturday/sunday.
