  • Family-friendly four-acre site with Warwickshire countryside views
  • A 10-minute drive from Warwick Castle and 25 from Stratford-upon-Avon
  • Easy access from the M40; pub 10 minutes' walk away
Wildlife, walks and Warwick just a few miles away – if that little collection of things sounds appealing, best be wending your way to Warwickshire’s Mousley House Farm Campsite. Scan the horizon at this family-friendly farm site and it’s all hills and farmland, with the occasional four-legged neighbour popping their head over the fence to say hello. Should you be seeking a bit of leg-stretching, head straight out from the site onto many a mile of peaceful countryside footpath – with a bit of clever planning you can (sensibly) plan a route that diverts via one of the local restaurants or pubs, the nearest of which is a gentle 10-minute amble away. Be not fooled by your immensely rural surrounds though – Mousley House Farm Campsite is a cinch to get in and out of, with easy access to the M40 and other main roads, plus all sorts of urban amenities a short drive away in Warwick (five miles) and Stratford-upon-Avon (12 miles).

Liked: Lovely large pitch, quiet and peaceful. I also like the option of the outdoor showers. Second time we have stayed there and certainly won't be the last, hence the 5*

Liked: The staff at the campsite are so welcoming and friendly, and keep the facilities clean and tidy. The stone baked pizzas cooked and made on site was a welcome meal after a long day exploring.

Liked: The site was easy to get to, signposted on entry. Flat big pitches, circular with big grass area in the middle for the kids to converge on. Toilets are clean and tidy albeit not brick built. Great little bar on site with plenty of benches to sit on that also does pizza on Saturday nights. Good hosts, polite, friendly, would go back if wanted to be in area again.

Disliked: My only dislike was people walking their dogs and letting them do their business around the caravans and in the grassy area in the middle where the kids play......A specific dog walk area would help with this. Not that people don't pick up but there is sometimes residue.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Quiet, well run site with countryside views. Toilet and shower facilities kept clean. Helpful and friendly staff who also run a little shop if you need any top ups. They spaced people out as site wasn't full mid week, but is busy over weekends. Guess that's when the yurts, safari tents and bell tents get booked. Near to Warwick and Hatton.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked: The horses in the field

Disliked: price seemed a lot no additional extra like on a lake or next to the sea, so the price didn't make sense for a non electric pitch owner recommended canal for paddle boarding. avoid this as there are 36 locks and you walk it carrying paddle board. go to the river in Warwick town centre , park next to the river . much better no wifi and costs a lot to stay

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Fabulous little site with great facilities. Toilets very clean. Showers available too which were basic but hot water aplenty. Beautiful views over the fields and a cracking little pub 15 minutes walk down the lanes. Although we couldn’t take our dog inside the pub, there is plenty of shelter in the garden and a gorgeous walled courtyard at the front of the pub. The campsite also has a small truck which makes pizza to order but wasn’t open when we stayed. The site is very close to Hatton Country World and Warwick so plenty to see and do. This is a quiet site which I loved. Great for children and no music allowed. Sometimes that’s what you need. Peace and quiet, perfect!! Hosts were also very friendly and helpful too. Definitely recommend.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Small, friendly, quiet site. Well set out with flat pitches. We have a campervan but used a sheltered grass pitch. Grassy fire breaks between pitches. Steps and slopes to the toilets and showers which were clean and homely. Outdoor shower if desired. Eco friendly with own sewerage plant. No smell. Washing up facilities. Dogs allowed. We went to the 'The case is altered' for a drink before cooking at our van. The pub was also immaculate with local ales to try. No food or children which was fine for us. Lovely garden too. Case Lane is very narrow but soon opens onto other roads. Within easy reach of Warwick, which was a great place too. We will be back as our daughter is at Birmingham Uni and that's only half an hour. Fifteen minutes for the airport.

Local attractions

If you only visit one attraction around here, it really should be the fab Warwick Castle, 10 minutes away. Guided visits will tell all sorts of tales as you tour the castle and gardens, or you could create your own as you explore the dungeons, princess tower and other corners of the estate. The Horrible Histories maze is perenially popular with the small sorts, as are the frequent jousting and bird of prey displays. If that’s inspired you to take in even more elegant architecture, Baddesley Clinton and Packwood House National Trust properties are both within a 10-minute drive. The half-timbered houses and Shakespeare-themed tours of Stratford-upon-Avon are 25 minutes away by car. Tiddlers not so enthused by pointing at pretty buildings? Take them off to see the narrowboats at Hatton Locks or play games, pick fruit and watch speedy sheep racing at Hatton Adventure World (both 10 minutes’ drive). The lipsmacking chocolate-themed attractions of Cadbury World are just over half an hour away if they’ve earned some sweet treats.
