Primitive grass campsite

Liked: We arrived a little later and rang the bell at the reception. The warden quickly came to assist us and was extremely polite. He provided us with clear information regarding parking, showers, toilets, and bins. Everything was just perfect. There is also a small shop on-site, but since we only stayed for one night, we didn't need to use it. Overall, a great experience!

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: This site suited me perfectly. A short drive from Stratford on Avon, so convenient. I had a flat grass pitch, with electric, for my campervan. Lovely views across the hills (over the site itself), with beautiful sunsets while I was there. The dishwashing area, showers and toilets were spotlessly clean. All freshly painted. The shower water was lovely and hot (not push button). All the water was hot and the facilities were not crowded at all. I wanted to add an additional night before I arrived. This was easy to arrange by phoning the site. I requested a confirmation email of the change, which was done promptly. I would recommend and certainly return. It was also fairly priced, in my opinion.

Disliked: Nothing - I was satisfied.

Powered gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked: Friendly reception. Directed to our hard standing pitch which net our requests perfectly. The whole site is well maintained and clean. Plus bus stop just outside to Stratford upon Avon, Evesham and beyond of course.

Disliked: As the weekend approached it was getting too busy and for up the pitches were too close. Also the site could do with another toilet block, particularly difficult to get in and use on the morning of our departure. Three mobile signal (particularly data) was non existent, making it tricky to make plans etc.

Powered gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked: Friendly, helpful staff Neat and tidy site close to the bus stop and a lovely walk into Stratford along the river Avon.

Disliked: Toilet block is quite dated and could do with upgrading, the majority of pitches are sloping so chocks are a definite requirement. The onsite shop had very restricted opening hours. Site was quite expensive in comparison with others of the same quality of facilities.

Powered gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked: Good location. Good facilities. Helpful staff. We had a problem with the van and people were eager to help.

Disliked: It would be nice if there was a straight walk from the site to Luddington , thus avoiding the busy road.(This is not the fault of the site. )

Local attractions

To Stratford-upon-Avon first: see what the big deal is by catching a Royal Shakespeare Company play before a trip around town to the Shakespeare attractions; buy a Shakespeare Five House Pass to see Hall's Croft, Mary Arden's Farm, Nash's House and New Place and Shakespeare's Grave alongside Shakespeare’s Birthplace and Anne Hathaway’s Cottage. Many companies offer cruises along the Avon, but to save pennies take a trip on the old chain ferry for 20p, or stay on land and take the mile and a quarter route along the Avon for views of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Shakespeare’s burial place Holy Trinity Church and the Memorial Theatre Gardens. Scores of other walks can be had in the Cotswolds, the biggest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England, with miles’ worth of footpath and bridleways broken up by small villages and market towns. The Cotswold Way runs 102 miles south from Chipping Campden to Bath and passes many historical houses and churches. After Warwick Castle, families can have a day out at the Ragley Hall Estate to get lost in the 3D maze, or go to Kenilworth Castle with its kids' audio trail covering the history of the castle and the lovelorn Robert Dudley who built it in the 16th century to impress Queen Elizabeth I. Kids will probably also like the gizmos at Stratford’s MAD (Mechanical Art and Design) Museum, Hatton Farm Village at Warwick or driving you nuts around the world’s biggest collection of historic British cars at the Heritage Motor Centre, which has the Land Rover Experience, a nature path and a playground.
