Liked: We turned up early as it had been raining all day, the lady greeted us in the car park and showed us where we could pitch. Being early didn't seem to be a problem. The location was close to alton towers which was the purpose of our trip.
Disliked: Looking at photos the area in which you camp in looks large however on return it was the oppersit there was a small pitch at a bottom of a hill and then a slightly larger area up a steep but small hill. This was over grown with grass and brambles around the boarders. There was a gate that was on a busy main road but it didn't fully block the road off and with a two year old who would want to run around I felt it was very unsafe. So unfortunately we had to find somewhere else.

Liked: I booked this venue for camping for my partners 40th birthday to visit Alton towers. We arrived to this Beautiful country pub with roaring fire, so welcoming, staff were very cheerful and friendly and chatty. The food was delicious and home made with high standard produce. Will always go back to this beautiful venue everytime I visit Alton towers. Thank you

Liked: Pub toilets available. Water tap on the pitch. Dogs allowed.
Disliked: Small uneven and sloped field - fortunately we could park where we liked as we were the only ones there. Busy road all night and the field is right next to it. Had to “sleep” in the car as it was just too noisy. You might be fine in a van but don’t stop here in a tent. Chose a pub site for the beer but most were off.

Liked: Friendly team at the pub, quiet site (late September) and option for breakfast at additional charge. Good toilets. Plenty of parking.
Disliked: No showers on site for camping. And as small site, you can hear other campers a lot of they're a bit loud.
