What customers say

Idyllic, peaceful escape with stunning mountain views. Pods are immaculate & well-designed, with excellent private bathrooms. Well-equipped kitchen w/ private cupboards. Welcome treats abound. Hot tubs are a hit! Most loved it, though some noted no WiFi & slow toilet roll restocking.

Warren camping pod (two person, hot tub)

Liked The pod was lovely. We stopped in the Warren pod it was Clean and welcoming. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and milk with some chocolates and crisps waiting in the pod on arrival. It was surrounded by its own fence so all private with your own fire pit. The private bathroom was just a short walk down the path. These were also very clean and perfect for use.

The owners were lovely and very welcoming when we met them.

We would not hesitate to use this site as the base for our next adventure.

The surrounding views were spectacular and a lovely drive through the country side.

Location wise it was secluded enough to feel peaceful but close enough to civilisation to enjoy some great activities including quadtrekking and a local village fair.

Parrs camping pod (hot tub)

Liked Location superb
Layout of pods, communal kitchen and bathroom great
Great facilities
Super service.

Disliked Main road doesn't have pavement to walk so need transport to travel.
Hot tub wasn't cleaned as had lots of weeds etc. No cleaning facilities for hot tub
No wifi, no tv as not internet

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your comments. Due to the site located in the countryside we don't have pavements as they are country lanes.
I can ensure you the hot tub was checked daily, but due to not wearing shoes and then getting in the hot tub, debris from your feet would go in and also when the lids are left open leaves from the trees enter the hot tub, but I cleaned it out everyday.. it also depends if you showered before you went in the hot tub.
We state no WIFI is provided. The TV does work but we don't provide netflix etc, it's a shame you didn't speak to us about the above when you saw us.

Parrs camping pod (hot tub)

Liked Before we arrived directions were sent which were very clear.
The campsite is small and quite, perfect for relaxing, it has lovely views to the mountains. Accommodation was spotless and the bed was comfy.
Really nice touch having milk, coffee, crisps and some chocolate available in the cabin on arrival.
We loved that you get your own bathroom with key, meant you could leave towels and toiletries in there overnight.
The hot tub was perfect, really good temperature and easy to use.
We used the shared kitchen once which was really handy , each pod even gets their own cupboard full of utensils. We noted there was also a TV and some games that you could use.
This camp site is well worth the money, an absolute bargain. Everything is well thought out by the owners to ensure that guests have a comfortable stay and want for nothing.
We will definitely be back again soon .

Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Local attractions

Those who are feeling active have an embarrassment of riches in this area, starting with Border Quad Trekking (10 minutes’ drive). After an introductory safety session, put on your helmet and just follow your leader up the hills and down the valleys. Prepare to get muddy. There are guided pony treks at Longmountain Centre (10 minutes) and water-based adventures at Drummond Outdoor Kayak and Canoe Centre (half an hour). Shrewsbury (half an hour) is known for The Quarry, a garden on the banks of the Severn with a vibrant flower garden (The Dingle), a lake and a bandstand, plus a play area and paddling pool. National Cycle Route 81 runs through this green area, loosely following the river west and east of the city. National Trust - Chirk Castle (50 minutes) started its life in the late 13th century as a forbidding border fortress, but over time it was remodelled and turned into an aristocratic family home. Today, its State Rooms house a collection of elegant furniture, family portraits and decorative objects.
