  • Very quiet location for family-friendly camping by the Wyre Forest
  • West Midland Wildlife Park 15 minutes' drive; Craven Arms 40 minutes
  • Wildlife-rich meadows a short distance from the river Severn
Set in a peaceful location in spacious farmland meadows, Wyre Forest Campsite is a family-friendly spot in the lush Severn Valley area of Shropshire and Worcestershire. With an abundance of wildlife, farm animals and flowers to spot, this very quiet place would be a good fit for travellers looking to stay somewhere off-grid in this scenic region of the West of England. While there are few flashy facilities at Wyre Forest Campsite, there are portable toilets, and you'll be able to keep yourselves occupied around a firepit or cooking dinner over a barbecue (all fires must be lifted clear of the ground). Dogs are allowed here, and there are all sorts of walks on your doorstep in the Wyre Forest Campsite to keep them and their owners entertained. It's a five-minute drive from Wyre Forest Campsite to the nearest village, Kinlet. While it's not a big place, there's a well-liked local pub and café here if you'd rather let someone else serve up the snacks, and it's pretty easy to get over to bigger towns like Bewdley (10 minutes) or Kidderminster (20 minutes) if you need anything else.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: We liked that it was a nice quiet site. Liked the long walks we had, the river we found and the horses we seen walking in it, the steam trains we saw, the sheep! And the amazing walk in the forest we had (my kids seen a deer, they was so excited!) Also Rob was lovely and helpful which added to our nice time :)

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: A lovely, well managed field with all the amenities a camper would need. A toilet, running water, a bit of shade and a clear sky. The river is only a 10 minute walk down a lovely country road and in 35 degree heat it was very welcome!

Disliked: The neighbours have an odd taste in music but was totally made up for when they played Master Of Puppets!

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Brilliant back-to-basics campsite. Rob was lovely: very friendly & also knowledgeable about things to do nearby. The location was amazing, close to the steam railway and to the River Severn for walks and wild swimming, and not far at all from great rural pubs and the lively town of Bewdley. The portaloo was always clean and well stocked (4 rating is just cos I prefer regular loos) there was a tap and washing up sink, and regular & recycling bins.

Disliked: Nothing

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: The peacefulness of the site. On the Friday we were the only people there & even Saturday it was reasonably quiet with only a handful of other tents & campervans. The location is lovely- 10 mins from Bewdley & local for Bridgnorth area too. The skies are so clear that we could see so many stars- even a shooting star.

Disliked: There wasnt much to dislike really but the pitches arent completely flat so we needed chocks to try to level us.
