Liked: Really beautiful location with the castle ruins bordered by the river, couldn't have been better. Nice at flat for tent camping at the top of the site. Also loved the campsite owner, so helpful and welcoming

Liked: Quiet, peaceful and great access to the river for kayaking (etc.). Really good communication too, especially out of season. Clean portaloos.

Liked: this campsite is a little gem . Been visiting once a week from August to October. Pitch where you like , space right next to the river or higher up with river views. Only facilities are two portaloos but they have always been spotless with sanitiser and plenty of loo roll! Its never been over crowded and midweek there has often been only myself and a few others. Cant say what its like at weekends but i imagine there is still loads of space.
Disliked: nothing

Liked: Everything. The location, the views, the sheep and other campers we met..all made for a fantastic overnight stay. We were greeted on arrival by the lovely Kaz, we advised that this was our first ever campervan adventure and that we forgot to bring a pan. She was lovely enough to lend us one to cook our breakfast the following morning. We will definitely be back.
Disliked: That the weekend is too short.
