  • Adults-only park with carp and coarse fishing lakes in pretty scenery
  • A 10-minute drive from Lincoln and 20 from the Lincolnshire Wolds
  • Dog-walking area on site; easy access to public transportation
Looking for a quiet and friendly adults-only site in Lincolnshire for a motorhome or campervan? Lovely – then you could soon be lolling about at Langdale Lakes, 10 minutes’ drive from Lincoln amid a lush and leafy landscape. As the name suggests, this park surrounds a few bodies of water for carp and coarse fishing in fab scenery (with a discount on pegs for guests). It’s an ace place for ambling too as there’s a designated dog walking area allowing off-leash explores for the couple of well-behaved canines visitors can bring with them on their hol. Loping around the lakes is also a fine way to spend some time here, as is venturing a touch further out for cycling and boat trips along local canals or visiting villages scattered around the Lincolnshire Wolds (20 minutes), like Market Rasen, Alford and Caistor. Prefer to mosey about without the motorhome? Buses stop outside the site and travel in two directions, including to Lincoln, the market towns of Louth and Horncastle, and the seaside at Skegness. On return, the site has ample amenities for completing chores, from dishwashing facilities within a well-lit and sheltered area to an Elsan emptying point and grey water waste disposal. The microwave is handy for heating up any leftovers you’ve brought home from lunch at one of Lincoln’s excellent eateries.

What customers say

Beautifully kept, peaceful spot with friendly owners. Guests rave about spotless facilities, lovely lake areas, and easy bus access to Lincoln. Mostly level pitches, secure dog area. Minor notes on fishing rules and distant trains. Highly recommended for tranquility and personal touches.

Power optional gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Beautiful site, very well kept. Bus stop short walk from site. Thanks to John and Jackie for the very useful information about Lincoln and where to hop on and off the bus. As we are self contained didn't need to use the facilities. Very friendly and laid back site. Perfect dog walk to allow dogs off lead. Nice touch having a red and white warning chain to put across the gate if your dog isn't great with other dogs. All in all a lovely stay despite the Easter weather.

Disliked No drive over wastewater disposal. However, John was very kind and loaned us a water carrier to take to the drain. Not really a big issue for us but worth mentioning.

Power optional gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Lovely site, spotlessly clean toilets and showers. Owners were extremely pleasant and professional and able to supply important information about local buses etc and the ability to travel to lots of locations.
Loved the lake areas and for all it was a bit cold and very damp it is still a really nice site to stay at. Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again if we are down that way.

Liked As a newbie and arriving on my own, John and Jackie were very welcoming and helpful.
I wanted a peaceful and relaxing weekend and that is what I got.
Lovely walks around the lakes, lots of benches to sit and be surround by nature, my dogs enjoyed the walks and there was also an area where they could go off the lead.

Local attractions

Lincoln’s a smashing spot for urban explores: it has a cathedral, castle, museums, art galleries and shops aplenty (10 minutes’ drive). The cobbled Steep Hill is worth a stroll – true to its moniker, it’s the fourth steepest street in England, so don’t be surprised if scaling it leaves you huffing and puffing. Other settlements to have a gander at include Market Rasen (20 minutes), which has a racecourse, and the Georgian town of Louth (half an hour) – a foodie’s fave – on the other side of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The whole area’s also a hotspot for folk fond of flying; aviation sites are scattered all around, including the Red Arrows’ home at RAF Scampton Heritage Centre (15 minutes). Petrolheads are pretty keen on Cadwell Park (half an hour), while golf courses are a pound a penny for those who want to perfect their swing. Seeking seaside times? The golden sands of the Lincolnshire coast, including the beaches around Skegness, are about an hour’s drive.
