Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Decent pitch, water close by, really nice welcome from the wardens. Small, nice and quiet, easy to go for a nice walk, with some good things to do close by. Nice little play area for under 13s.

Disliked: Bit of a walk for the chem toilet area. But that was expected.

Liked: Fabulous find and will definitley book again. Quiet little spot, got a good pitch, wardens running it were absolute gems came out to check if we needed anything and again when we got to the pitch and went above and beyond when my son had toothache later in the night. Really lovely staff, clean toilets, a few minutes drive from dog friendly beach, perfect

Primitive grass campsite

Liked: Excellent location for dog walking - 20 minutes to an endless beach. Quiet and peaceful site with friendly new owners hopefully breathing new life into it.

Disliked: Beware for those with kids the toilets as advertised are a long way from the tent pitches.

Camping pod (no pets, adults only)

Liked: Loved the little touches in the glamping pod such as tea and coffee, cups, glasses a full sized fridge, kettle and a toaster. It was perfect with a little veranda on the front to sit with table and chairs provided. You do not need to pay for electricity separately in the pods. A quilt and pillows were provided just need your own covers or for £10 extra they are provided. The pod was warm inside at night and very quiet as it is double glazed. The site had lovely hot showers for 50p for 5mins which is long enough. There is a little cafe on site which did sausage and bacon cobs, toasties and paninis for around £2.50 to £4. There is also a small games room with a pool table in and a laundrette with a book swap area. The owners are lovely, friendly and approachable. We had a lovely weekend here and will definitely return.

2 bedroom mobile home (no pets)

Liked: Price was good, staff super helpful

Disliked: Site is slowly being updated by the new owners, so the static van was a bit dated, but this was reflected in the price. Was also good as we had our granddaughter who’s 4, and we weren’t too worried about her damaging things. So not really a dislike at all. The owner may be replacing the caravan next year, so we were told.

Local attractions

This is a smashing spot for family and beach hols, with both Sutton on Sea and Huttoft beaches close by for colourful beach huts at the first and a peaceful relaxing vibe at the second. Skegness is an easy drive along the coast, and Mablethorpe and Ingoldmells are also easily accessible to the north and south. Among the many other activities near the farm are the ambles and pedals of the Lincolnshire Wolds or taking day trips to Lincolnshire's small market towns like Alford, where there's also a war museum and a theatre. Bargain hunters should also get along to one of Lincolnshire's many car boot sales, at Ingoldmells, Skegness and Mablethorpe on the coast and inland at Louth, Horncastle, Gainsborough and Hornbeach.
