Overall lovely site with brilliant entertainment for kids
Powered grass campsite
Liked Loved the park and pool for the kids, spacious tent pitches, and overall cleanliness of the site.
The big screens with sports and kareoke where an added bonus!
From the kids... They loved the easter bunny!
Disliked The washing up area hidden away near the elsan point.

We loved this place and can't wait to book again! Thank you all
Powered grass campsite
Liked We loved this site. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The kids loved the pool. We loved the entertainment at night and the home cooked Sunday roast. We really thought highly of Mark who manages the place. He literally never stops zooming around making sure everyone is up to speed with everything. His work ethic is something else. If we could clone him, the world would be a better place!
Disliked We didn't dislike this. But I imagine other campers might. At nighttime people don't really switch off. There was a family one night playing music til 2am. And then a couple of men having a matter til 4am. But we honestly didn't bother or mind because we were probably equally ad noisy at times blowing our bloody bed up that kept deflating. The reason I put it in here is because some people don't like the noise.
We did hate having to pay for a shower because I never ever carry cash. But that's literally it.

Powered grass campsite
Liked Brilliant site especially for the kids. Food is fantastic and reasonably priced. Showers and toilets really clean. We will be returning in the future
Disliked Only thing that it would benefit from is maybe better electric as hook up is only 6amp but we knew before hand so was fine for us.

Liked Brilliant time, kids loved it, loved the pool, hosts were available if needed and did well to monitor what was going on
Disliked Paying for the showers. Not being able to use electric grills/cookers.
The toilets also ran out of soap and toilet roll and wasn't filled till the next morning.

What customers say
This family-friendly campground boasts a popular heated pool and playground. Staff, especially manager Mark, are frequently praised for friendliness. The pub offers good-value food. While pitches are usually clean and level, some reviews mention dated facilities and occasional noise/crowding, particularly at the pool. Good value for families.

Horrific!
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Absolutely nothing bar Mark who tried his best to manage a horrific site with bad management
Disliked Absolutely everything. Arrived to an overcrowded site, tents and vans within a meter of each other. We booked hard standing with awning and on arrival was told they didn’t have any hard standing and only grass. No health and safety taken into account. Douglas the owner was dismissive and rude.
The park was run down and over grown.
Pool looked and smelt foul.
Toilet block looked just as bad, didn’t venture in though so may have been a surprise.
If I was to film an apocalyptic film this would be my first choice as a set, nothing needed.
We spend 2 hours on site before finding another site 3 minutes away which was peaceful with fishing and a bar on site.
Wouldn’t take kids either, walked into the bar to 3 blokes on the pool table dropping the c word like it was nothing in front of young kids.
Honestly a horrific 2 hours and so so grateful to the other local site that allowed us on at 7.30pm.

Liked Level pitch. Easy water top up. Friendly owner.
Disliked Mucky underfoot. Local children taking over the swimming pool after school.

Not a pleasant place to stay. Scruffy. Very clicky and 6amp electric.
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Nothing, only the road out of the place.
Disliked Toilets were filthy.
The camp was like a travellers camp. Lots of contractors, very scruffy.
Park needs an update.
Pub needs and update. Not very friendly at all and felt very outcast due to the amount of locals. Locals getting served before myself (even leaning over me) no where to sit in the lounge area. Bar area with pool table was very intimidating with locals hogging the table.
Heated pool?? Freezing cold and silt at the bottom so needs a clean.
Basically it would be a good site if someone actually loved the place and tidied it up. Move the contractors away from tourists.
Won't go again. Ever!

Liked Flat level concrete pitch. Food was okay.
Disliked But very untidy site. Rubbish left all over, desperately needs a full time maintenance person. Toilet block cold and dirty. Barmaid with black hair not very friendly when a customer complained about cold coffee.
