  • Adults-only caravan park at a foodie pub five miles from Skegness
  • Pub and restaurant on site with a large choice of beers and wines
  • Family-friendly atmosphere with high-quality amenities
If you're off for the day to Ingoldmells, how about a huge English – or veggie – breakfast first… before a 15-minute stroll into town? And then another stroll back, for dinner and an evening's relaxing in a family-friendly pub and restaurant? If that all sounds pretty tempting, have an adults-only stay at the friendly and welcoming Kings Head, just west of Ingoldmells in the small town of Addlethorpe. In a peaceful setting near Skegness and with easy access to the sights and attractions of Lincolnshire and beyond, the Kings Head is a family-run pub and restaurant with high standards, a welcoming vibe and homecooked food alongside a wide range of beers and wines. It's a five-minute drive to Ingoldmells from here (although you might opt to walk each day if you're having the full English beforehand) and less than five miles from more beach days at Lincolnshire's most visited seaside town, Skegness. The site shower block has been overhauled to high standards in recent years, and a heating system installed so that all days can start off with a piping hot shower, whatever the weather. And then a mega big breakfast, and then – perhaps – another stroll into Ingoldmells, a drive into Skegness or a potter along the Lincolnshire coast…?

What customers say

This adults-only spot gets props for cleanliness & chill vibes. Loved the friendly, family-run feel, good pub grub & entertainment. Spotless facilities. Some issues with bins, shower pressure, and pot washing are being fixed. A few guests noted many seasonal residents.

FHU gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked It was clean and tidy. Quiet too. It was very relaxing particularly as it is adults only.

Disliked The website suggested that breakfast was available at the pub. One of the reasons I booked actually. But it wasn’t. We had to take the motor home to a nearby village. May be worth making it clear on the website.

FHU gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked It was a really nice site. The pub food was nice & the entertainment on an evening was good too. The staff were friendly.

Disliked We got put on a gravel pitch with a concrete block under it so after we'd put our awning up we realised we couldn't peg it down so had to take it all back down just to move a few yards over. The guy asked if we had an awning aswell on arrival yet still put us there. You should know your own pitches.
The onsite facilities, I'm sorry to say, we're disgusting! Especially the ladies. Nice & clean when we first arrived but as the weekend went on they just got nastier. Po0p in every toilet, loo seats on the floor, no toilet roll. I'd recommend checking at regular intervals. We even told pub staff about it for nothing to get done till the day we was leaving. The limited menu in the pub was expensive.

Local attractions

Ingoldmells, five minutes’ drive or 15 minutes’ walk from The Kings Head, is probably best known for its theme park Fantasy Island, with indoor and outdoor rides and the world’s longest suspended rollercoaster. Shops, arcades and a huge indoor market open seven days a week are recommended stopoffs in town too. The nearest beach from the pub is a mile away, more sands are at Skegness five miles away, or you could travel a bit further up the coast to other Lincolnshire seaside towns like Sutton on Sea and Mablethorpe, and inland for the non-strenuous strolls and cycles of the flat Lincolnshire Wolds. Plenty of family options as well as the seaside resorts are handy if you’re around with the kids, such as the open-air museum of The Village Church Farm, telling the tale of rural British life before mass urbanisation, alongside family activities like chicken feeding, fancy dress, bug hunting and storytelling – do drop in to say hi to Bob the Hornsby steam engine too. Also see nearby Walsingham Abbey, a monastic house and place of pilgrimage until it was destroyed (boo) by bad old Henry VIII in the 16th century. The ruins of the medieval priory still spectacularly stand today; take a guided tour of Walsingham to see all the spots of interest as well as the shrines and pilgrimage history of the village.
