Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked: Small peaceful site, good dog walking area. Site warden very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Hard standing area more like a lay by. The pitch we were given No. 20 was not suitable it was on a bend and we couldn’t let the dog out on lead outside our motor home as vehicles could drive up and down to their caravan/ motor homes We were offered the pitch at the end the next day, which was much better. This hard standing area more for just an overnight stay e.g fishing trip. These pitches are not on a secure area as they are outside the site barrier. Other people who were parked there also commented on how disappointing the pitch was and like a lay by.

Liked: My wife and I visited here and really liked it. It was very quiet, chilled and relaxed, no matter the time of day. The staff were polite, friendly and made us feel very welcome. Both the male and female toilets/shower blocks were very clean and always smelled fresh. We will definitely be staying here again when we're next in Skeg for a couples getaway

Disliked: Could do with more hooks in the showers, maybe a shower curtain and a seat for changing, other than that it’s a great place.

Local attractions

Most folk coming to these parts angle to get to Skegness first, the famed seaside town with sandy beach, pier, many amusements and evening entertainment in clubs, bars and the Embassy Theatre. The Natureland Seal Santuary is in town too if you/the kids want to see some local nature; to see seals in the wild, the Donna Nook Natural Nature Reserve covers over six miles of salt marsh coastline between Grainthorpe Haven and Saltfleet. Around Skegness are Ingoldmells, most visited for its theme park Fantasy Island and its big indoor market, open seven days a week; the beach huts and sands of Sutton on Sea are to the north, and there's more of the same, along with another seal sanctuary, at Mablethorpe. Roach Farm Park is also a short drive from the traditional pubs and family-run shops of Lincolnshire town Burgh Le Marsh.
