What customers say
This peaceful site has spacious, level pitches with lovely views. Spotless facilities, including showers and composting toilets, earned high marks. A nearby farm shop and friendly owners were highlights. Some noted potential aircraft/highway noise; earplugs recommended for light sleepers. Honesty box for extras was appreciated.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Lovely location, the farm shop and animals you can go and see and buy from was brilliant. Toilets and shower facilities were spotless and we saw cleaned multiple times during our stay. We walked to The Falcon pub which truly is a 5 minute walk and super friendly!
Disliked Noise of aeroplanes going over. They were great to watch during the day but if you are a light sleeper definitely recommend earplugs

Brilliant value for money, and lovely location .
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Lovely views and set back from road, amazing shower and friendly farm shop just over the road .
Disliked Sawdust Eco toilet is joined onto shower. No hard partitions between the two rooms. Unpleasantness listening to strangers use the toilet while showering.

A little gem of a campsite.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked We camp a lot, so we weren’t expecting too much, but what a fantastic surprise this little site turned out to be! Spotlessly clean, tidy, and with shower and toilet facilities. The pitches are spacious with gorgeous views, giving you plenty of room to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
A short walk takes you to a dog-friendly pub and the local shop, and while the motorway hum is there at first, you soon forget all about it. Light sleeper? Bring earplugs, but honestly, it didn’t take away from the experience at all. Watching planes take off and land was such a fun extra.
The honesty box for extras like fire pits was a brilliant touch and made the stay feel even more special, something a few other wild campsites could definitely learn from.
All in all, a little gem of a campsite. We’ll be back for sure!
Disliked Having to go home.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked How lovely this little site was, tucked away in a big field, clean little sawdust toilet and and separate shower.
There's was also an honesty box, but only saw it on the way out. Ample amounts of room for each pitch.
The people who were camping there were friendly too, dogs on leads and smiles all around.
Disliked That I didn't have another night booked xD

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked A lovely simple set up, turn up, pitch, sit and relax. Views are stunning. The new compost toilet is managed throughout the day, the shower, does the job to freshen you up.
The farm shop had a great choice of meats and local produce. Perfect our bbq. We hired the kettle grill and kindling which was available at only £5 for the stay!
A small village, pretty to walk through, two great pubs 5 mins either side of the campsite. We had an amazing Sunday lunch.
Lots to do in and around the area. We visited Bradgate park to see Lady Jane Grey's house.
We were two families with teenage kids. Just wanted a couple of days away from everything. We would definitely return.
