  • Surrounded by Hertfordshire and Essex countryside
  • Half an hour by train from London
  • Bike hire, countryside views, playground and shop
Are you up for escaping London town for a spell? Or how about settling down within easy reach of it at less than city prices – leaving you free to spend your dosh on train fares into town and quite a lot of London beer? Have a look at Lee Valley Caravan Park Dobbs Weir, only 30 minutes from the glittery lights of the capital. A nifty base for city trips or Lee Valley sojourns, Dobbs Weir is surrounded by Hertfordshire and Essex green countryside, and carefully landscaped to fit in with its natural surroundings (excellent countryside views come as standard). Pitches have plenty of space between them so there's no chance of feeling hemmed in. Bike hire is available, along with free wifi, a playground and a site shop. Amenities include disabled access facilities with heated toilet and shower blocks, chemical disposal, and a laundry with drying and ironing.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked: Friendly staff, level pitches, clean facilities, great location, beautiful surroundings, quiet and peaceful even though it was relatively busy. Pricier than some but ability to go into London from close by and use the river that runs through the site.

Liked: It was our first time at a pitch up site and we were very impressed with the site, clean and tidy and a warm welcome from all the staff. The location is just beautiful, not too far off the A10 and easy to access. A very safe family site, we will definitely return

Disliked: The toilet block is a little dated and could do with an upgrade

Wee Brave wigwam (pet friendly)

Liked: Location, Accommodation & park

Disliked: No electric hob to cook on or cutlery, plates, bowls this is a given with the larger accommodation even though only £10 difference in price. Being told check out time by cleaning staff & having to prove otherwise.
