Liked: Because we were only one on the site when we arrived we could pick our pitch which was great as we choose the hard standing electric hook up - as per booking - next to the toilet and shower block. Because of this position I can not really give a proper appraisal as we had the pick of the best. One observation is that the loo is part of the individual shower unit which is great until 3 campers are in the shower and the remaining campers all need to use the loo, there should be another separate loo for that reason as not everyone has toilet facilities in campervans. Everything else was great but dont rely on the pub being open because it is only open certain days and certain times and nowhere walking distance to get a meal. There is a laundry room and sluice both clean and orderly.
Disliked: no separate loo available for those not using shower. Shower water pressure was 'hit and mis' and could potentially scald yourself so don't let kids use it unattended. Warn older kids of the issue so that they can be cautious. The 'onsite shop' situation is misleading so don't expect to stock up. waste paper towels in bins overflowing in shower and toilet cubicles.

Liked: Good location close to Hay on Wye, Black Mountains. Pub onsite for a drink, limited menu. Well spaced pitches and quiet at night. Water and EHU on each pitch.
Disliked: Cleanliness of toilets showers not good. Stayed 2 nights and definitely not cleaned during our stay.

Liked: Enjoyed the small site with good and well kept facilities, host is welcoming. Instructions clear on arrival. When we were there no caravans (good), mostly campervans of varying sizes. Level pitches mostly on grass but also gravel pitches for largers vehicles. Site is far away enough from the road to be quiet for peaceful night. Close enough to Hay on Wye (10 miles via the toll bridge) so we could use our electric scooter to get to the Festival.
Disliked: Nothing we disliked

Liked: Chilled vibe, amazing food, really friendly team there and the wash rooms, showers, serve-yourself-shop and wash facilities were spot on (and spotless) - definitely will return. Great walks on the river, nearby towns were good for a wander & browse. Great base for a great weekend.
Disliked: Nothing. (Tiny footnote, the onsite shop had all the basics, so you’ll need to do a shop nearby… and I think they’re only open Thu-Sun, please check)

Liked: Toilets and showers were spotless with large shower enclosures. Mostly hardstanding pitches, but some grass too - all very generous in size. The pub on site was great, allowed dogs and wasn't noisy at all. Site managers were friendly and kept it well organised. Hay on Wye nearby was a lovely town nearby with independent shops and cafes and a really good vibe.
Disliked: The only downside is it's off a main road with no pavement - walking the dog from the site was OK but needed to cross the road and the cows weren't especially happy with us walking that path.
