Bell tent

Liked: The Bell tent was very spacious. Beautiful landscape and very quiet as few people only staying. Even if close to the highway we slept ok I could barely hear it.

Disliked: The compost toilet was... a compost toilet but there was toilet paper and sanitizer. Behind out tent there was a tap for water but very minimum amount coming from it. No bins on the facilities.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: O’ Gabe Farm is in a convenient location for traveling along the M5. The site is safe, quiet, flat and had everything you need for a basic campsite. Running water, toilet and shower. Vickie was very friendly and helpful.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: Amazing shower!! Had the site to ourselves so it was a lovely sunny night. Strolled into the village to go to the pub. It is right by the M5 but we knew that when we booked it, and I slept like a log. Lovely owner. Really friendly and welcoming.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: Good easy to find location with secure locked entrance. Shower (x1) was clean, had lighting and was a good temperature (very warm!). Plenty of space on gently sloping field with good access to water pipes. Owner rang earlier in the day providing clear instructions - don't camp in the same field as the facilities as this is a dog exercise field! The adjacent main field is for camping. Good mobile signal including 4G. You can park next to your pitch.

Disliked: Adjacent to M5 so traffic noise was loud (a constant hum) - bear in mind if you are a light sleeper. Adjacent to a water treatment plant although there was no smell or noise from it - wouldn't know it was there unless you walk up to the fence. Portaloo (x1) was not very pleasant to use and requires cleaning. Ground is a little uneven with thistles etc in places so pick your pitch carefully. Shower has no thermostat and the light (motion sensor) turned off whilst I was still in the shower and failed to turn on again.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: .

Disliked: Told to pitch up anywhere so we pitched by the facilities. Apparently this was wrong as the facilities are not on the campsite! The facilities apparently belong to a dog track. Dogs exercised with quad bike from 6:30 (apparently we wouldn’t have noticed this had we been 5metres away on the other side of the hedge). No appropriate signage about usage of fields. Packed up early and went home. Disappointing trip.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: August Bank Holiday weekend and was really quiet and a perfect stay for our first venture on a camping trip. The shower was powerful and warm and perfect for what you need at the site. The portaloo was clean and had lots of cleaning products in there to keep it fully stocked. All instructions we were given were spot on and really helpful. Including the local pubs.

Disliked: Not a moan at all but just to be aware there were quite a few thistles on the field.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: Very convenient to M5. Nice and quiet when we travelled. Closish to M5, but just a gentle hum of traffic in the background really. Clean toilets and showers. Nice quiet lane to walk down to the river Avon.
