  • Working farm site with a farmstand selling seasonal produce
  • Near the Cotswold Way and other walks; 50 minutes' drive to Bristol
  • Chickens, duck, pigs and sheep on site; walk to the village pub
Views, just splendid… Surrounded by sloping countryside, Farwood Farm is full of great scenery whether it's the morning, afternoon or evening. The site is on a working smallholding which keeps sheep, pigs, chickens and ducks and also grows fruit and vegetables for self-sufficiency and a farmstand. At the farmstand, get your hands on eggs, meat such as lamb and pork and other seasonal produce. Full of good stuff, you should have lots of energy to tackle the splendid walks in the local area or the nearby Cotswold Way. It’s a 15-minute walk to the village of Horsley, where there’s a pub and playground. Nailsworth, five minutes’ drive away, has a wider collection of pubs (and shops too). The local area also has horse riding, mountain biking and E-biking activities or tours. At Farwood Farm, grazing sheep may share some of the pitches. There are also mown areas for guests’ comfort.

Power optional grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Absolutely fantastic! Really enjoyed the atmosphere and intimacy with the limited campers hosted by Kim and Mark. They were down to earth, practical, warm and kind. The environment was perfect and was well worth the trip. I loved the cold stream running alongside our tent where we pitched...perfect for an early morning all over cold body wash..lovely.

Disliked: Nothing!

Power optional grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: We loved our stay - beautiful views, lovely friendly owners and a tyre swing our son enjoyed very much. It was very peaceful with plenty of space and the nearby Horsely and Nailsworth were nice to visit.

Disliked: The sheep were a tad too curious about our tent and required shoo'ing away 😂 Provided funny entertainment though.

Power optional grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Kim and Mark are the best hosts. They kept us updated about arrival arrangements in the days prior to our visit. Then made sure everything was ok when we qrrived. The site is lovely. Feels completely secluded even though it's less than a mile from the small village of Horsley and 2 miles from Nailsworth. Was novel to share the camping field with sheep. One even tried to nose it's way into our tent on the first night! Toilet and shower are both clean, and located inside the hay barn, along with a kitchen area which was stocked with bread, butter, teabags and milk. Site is easily located from the M5. All in all a brilliant stay, we will be back.

Liked: We absolutely loved it. Had the perfect pitching site, idyllic views, use of the stone fire-pit. Facilities far exceeded our expectations. Kim & Mark were wonderful hosts, super friendly, a mine of information, easy going and loads of fun. Kids in particular had a fantastic time. We'll be back.
