Liked: Very clean and quiet site. Secure with barrier entry and departure. Pitch was roomy and level. The warden was really friendly; always with a smile to greet you. Toilets were very clean and the showers clean and water hot. Lovely pub next door for a meal and a gin! Dog friendly too. There was road and train noise but didn't interfere with our sleep

Liked: Stayed here three times now to break up our journey from the north of England on route to Devon. Nicky is a great host & keeps the site very nice. The toilets & showers are always very clean & efficient. Tried the Pepperpot pub on previous occasions it has a nice beer garden & is welcoming. PS not open everyday check times on website.

Liked: A relatively small site but we had a lovely big pitch for our large caravan, with a water supply. Spotlessly clean shower block and pot-wash. Washing machine available if required. Very friendly, helpful owner! Although there isn't a designated dog area, the site is definitely dog friendly and plenty of people had dogs there ( including us and other family members we met up with there). There is a public bridleway just around the corner when laps of the site aren't sufficient! We enjoyed a meal at the onsight pub and, although the service was a little slow on that occasion, the food was good.
Disliked: Some people may dislike the road noise but it certainly didn't bother us in the caravan.

Liked: We spent the weekend here for bank holiday with friends on their first camping trip. Pitch was excellent, site is quiet and the facilities you cannot fault so clean and tidy. Nicky is fantastic as park warden a lovely welcome and full of local knowledge. We’d return as a base to visit the local area again, so we’ll be back!
