Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Size of the field was great, lots of space and could choose where to go. Good spacious facilities.

Disliked: Bins and recycling are a drive back to the farm shop which isn't bad but I think it discourages recycling a little. A recycling wheely bin at the end of the road by the gate might encourage more people to separate their waste.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked: We stayed in the yurts, which were perfect for our family gathering. Kitchen was a great bonus. And the yurts kept us warm and dry in the rain. Logs were supplied and restocked upon request which was a great help. We loved lighting the fire in the water boiler, and the bucket shower.

Disliked: Having to use wheelbarrows to transfer all our stuff, it would have been much better to just allow one trip in the car for set up and take down.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Lovely landscape and walk through the forest to Farm Shop!

Disliked: Didn’t like the proximity to the road and the short lunch service (12-2:30) as we arrived after 2:30 and couldn’t eat in the cafe - some information on this when booking would be helpful.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Everything, the owner and family very friendly, happy to chat. Stay was relaxed and hassle free, wild life everywhere. Great to see families doing things together, without a TV, play station anywhere. Kids having old fashioned fun and games. No loud music

Disliked: Only that our time on site was only 3 nights

Local attractions

Keen to explore the area on two wheels? Rent a bicycle from Cotswold eBikes on site, and set off down quiet rural roads to pretty villages built of mellow stone in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (20 minutes’ ride). If you’ve got kids on board, make for the lakeside beach and floating inflatables at Cotswold Country Park and Beach (40 minutes), or let them burn off more energy on paddleboards and kayaks at Lake 32 Outdoor Centre (35 minutes). When only cuddling animals will do, it’s time to head to Cotswold Farm Park (35 minutes’ drive), to bottle-feed lambs, baby goats and piglets, see rare-breed farm animals and take tractor rides. In search of a bit of Cotswolds history? You’ll find it among the fourth-century AD Roman ruins at Chedworth Roman Villa (25 minutes’ drive), where you can admire ornate floor mosaics and the Roman version of central heating. If your interest is piqued, you can see more local Roman finds at the Corinium Museum (10 minutes), which has fine displays of sculpture, mosaics and jewellery.
