Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked A very warm and kind reception from Sam upon arrival. Site was very clean and well set up. Toilets were clean, bins provided and a decent shower. The site was small, for maybe 8-10 pitches, but plenty of room between them. May look at using the already set up tents for next time, would save a lot of messing 😂

Meteor bell tent (basic)
Liked Stayed in the Bell Tent on site, good that it was already set up and with internal matting - and very spacious for the two of us. Quiet rural setting for the campsite in the countryside. Small site with not too many pitches. Owner was helpful and very kind to us as we had travelled by bike with limited gear. Good firepit available on blocks and wood/ logs and firelighters available to buy on site which is a good idea. Washing facilities were clean.

Meteor bell tent (basic)
Liked Friendly welcome, large bell tent with hessian flooring on level ground, use of picnic bench and fire pit in quiet countryside, off the beaten track. First time camping in years, and would definitely come back!

Definitely worth it!
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Friendly, family run campsite - owners were welcoming and helpful.
Only a small campsite, but still plenty of space per pitch and the farm is set within marvellous little valley that feels remote but surprisingly accessible to/from nearby Sheffield/Dronfield.
Fairly basic but perfectly good facilities.
Seemed quite happy for us to have a bit of an explore round the farm, showing the kids the tractors and animals etc

Liked location was perfect, fantastic warm and informative introduction when we got there. lots of space to pitch and park. clean facilities, sink with mirror, hot shower. This is a great site nice and small which is very much what we look for while camping. lovely, dark and quiet by 10pm. will be booking again for next year 😁

Small and quiet - perfect!
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Lovely small and quiet site, in a really pretty setting surrounded by fields and woodland. Simple facilities: portaloos, at the top of the field away from the tents, and kept very clean, plus two adjacent sheds, one with a shower and the other with a sink for hands/washing up. Designated pitches, which are well spaced out around the edge of the field, so there’s lots of room around each tent. Nice owners, who pointed out where we should pitch then largely left us to ourselves other than a brief hello when we headed out.
There are barn owls somewhere nearby, we heard them in the night, an added bonus :)
