Sparrowhawk primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: Site location and on-site facilities for food & shopping and staff friendliness. Campsite clean and well managed.
Disliked: No designated camping zones or areas allowing groups to camp on top of you. No quiet camp zones away from large noisy groups. No parking next to tent pitches as this was a key feature to original booking being made

Grouse primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: The toilet and shower block had hot water and showers for no extra cost. Can’t beat that after a windy and very muddy day in the peaks 😌 We had a quiet spot for our tent at the top of the field with only a minute away to the on-site cafe, bar and the shop (so handy if you don’t feel like cooking a dinner on one of the evenings!)
Disliked: The field we were placed on was on the slope, however it’s nothing we haven’t experienced or that could’ve ruined our stay.

Liked: great cafe on site and lovely pub just 2 mins walk in Edale village - the old nags head. perfect for a walk up the Pennine way right from the campsite
Disliked: facilities might be a bit crowded if the campsite was full.
