Primitive grass tent campsite (two person)
Liked: First time visitor, was not sure what to expect. The site was perfect for me, excellent location very well maintained, exactly what I needed for my first camp out in 30 years. Facilities are impeccable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you. Pity my order for fine weather didn't appear, but there will be a next time!
Disliked: The weather

Camping pod
Liked: Site is well positioned for access into Buxton. A very easy walk into town. Pod was as described and equipped with the minimum that you needed. Toilette block was kept very clean but the site was very quiet whilst I was there, so not many people at all using the block.
Disliked: Not necessarily a dislike but more a note, the sofa bed is very low so if you are an older visitor, it may be better to take camping chairs with you. There is a bench table outside but if the weather is not nice, chairs to sit on is a must.

Liked: A warm welcome from reception upon arrival with a great description of where to go and what was around us. Spotless facilities with regular checks. Hot water during shower/washing up and taps. Farm shop on site as well as games room and lots of local walks. (Recpetion gave lovely advice on what to visit near by - handing leaflets with more information) would recommend and happily stay again
Disliked: N/A - nothing we found fault with

Camping pod
Liked: We loved our stay at lime Tree. We stayed in one of the pods and it was perfect for me as a single parent to 1 adult child and 1 teenager. We settled in our little pod just nicely. I felt safe and the campsite was amazing and clean. I've been to my fair share if campsites in the UK and this one is definitely up there within my top picks. The facilities were amazingly clean!! Showers were beautiful and HOT!! Heated floor system in the showers also! Toilets are in the shower block and were extremely clean at all times. I loved there was music in the shower/toilet block it was a nice touch. It was the perfect location for us to explore many areas within the peak district..... I would definitely recommend this site.... it had a cute park fir younger kids along with an onsite shop for essential and to top it off it had a farm shop where you can buy your fresh eggs , bacon sausage, chicken, all meat locally farmed and homemade pies! What more could you ask for? WiFi was good! The owners were amazing and friendly and very helpful... Fscities inside pod,... Had a little fridge , oil filled radiator, lights , blinds , out door light , double bed with mattress and double futon. Hooks to hang coats or towels etc. Drunking Water point and bins at end of pods 30 secs away, perfect! Washing up area amazing, nice row of sinks , washing up bowls and racks available... It was central to the sights we wanted to visit.... Local morrisons 3-4 mins away... very close to all amenities if needed , including weatherspoons !

Primitive grass tent campsite (six person)
Liked: The toilet and shower was clean and warm. Location was good. Close to amenities.
Disliked: Not allowed to have a fire pit. This is the first campsite we have been to where we were not allowed to have a fire pit to keep warm which is completely safe and would not have marked the grass. This was disappointed. Also usually my son can play football near the tent and we play badminton etc but we were not allowed to play ball games on site. Disappointing. Definitely a site for caravans and not tent campers.

Liked: The staff were incredibly friendly, the site was well kept and the surrounding landscapes were amazing. It is a 20 minute walk into Buxton but there is a shop on the holiday park that is open during the summer season. The highlight of the site is definitely the toilet blocks - these were incredibly clean and there was a number of toilets and showers. We really loved our stay here and will definitely be returning! We camped and the land available for the non-electric camping was great and there was lots of room for our tent. For families, there is a playground for children and there are multiple walks nearby of varying difficulty.
