Powered concrete slab caravan site
Liked Location with bus route passing the entrance. Walking area beside the river. All clean and well kept.
Disliked Not really a dislike, but worth noting that Thursday was lovely and peaceful, but Friday night there were children making their usual excessive noise until about 10:30 at night. I imagine it's a great family site in the high season, but not to everybody's taste!

Liked Conveniently located for an early ferry from Rosslare. All facilities required for a last-night stopover. Pub and takeaway just over the road.
Disliked Not a lot to do in the immediate area, but on the night before the ferry this was not an issue.

Liked Friendly reception. Peaceful shady site with walking opportunities around the lake and into the village. I was skeptical about the circular pitch arrangement but actually it worked really well - the triangular pitch was spacious and well situated. Very good value for money.

Liked Great place for our stopover. Well-maintained facilities.
Disliked Would like to have actually been able to see the Moselle river (to be fair we might have wandered further if it hadn't been raining)

Powered grass site
Liked Friendly site and lively bar area with line dancing and creperie. Peaceful and well shaded pitches.
Disliked Our pitch was the smallest on site and difficult to get the motorhome into. Access to the river was disappointing, given the name of the site - dilapidated wooden steps leading to a short gravelly patch by a small river - probably great for kids but not an attraction for two mature visitors!

Liked Unusual quirky place.
Good stopover location for Channel Tunnel.
Very quiet (almost too quiet)
Disliked Couldn't find button to open gates from inside, instructions were confusing and help phone number went to a website.
A bit expensive considering the only facility was the electric supply but didn't object as it's for a good cause to restore the site.

Liked Only wanted a convenient spot for the night before the Eurotunnel, and this was fine. The price is very good, reflecting the work in progress. Everything we needed for the stay. Nice lakes and waterside cycle rides nearby. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and there when he was needed.
Disliked Getting the motorhome around the tight corners into the site was interesting, but perfectly possible.

From the manager: Good morning, Thank you for your comment which makes us very happy! Yes, the motorhome turns could be a bit difficult to maneuver but we changed the size of the bends in width, to allow easier access for large motorhomes. We are delighted if you enjoyed your stay, and look forward to welcoming you on your next trip to France! Good day, Tony

Liked The laid-back relaxed French disorganisation was both a joy and an annoyance after a week in Germany. No hot water at one end of the site, and all gents toilets "hors de service". (We did arrive in the middle of a busy holiday weekend). Pick your own pitch - constrained only by how long your electric lead is.
Nearby town of Neuf Brisac is fascinating, and a trip across the Rhine to Breisach is a must.
Disliked Lack of toilet faclities during a busy weekend

Liked Our sort of site, relaxed atmosphere, not too big or commercial, but with all necessary facilities. Staff very friendly and helpful. Quiet private pitch surrounded by trees and bushes, yet close to sanitary and washing up facilities. Waking up to sound of birds and cuckoos. Near town centre, and particularly being conveniently close to the bus and train station with excellent connections to Copenhagen, Helsingør and especially Hillerød, with its fabulous Fredericksborg Castle. We booked two nights but ended up staying for five. Definitely recommended.
Disliked One of few sites where I have no dislikes.

Liked Convenient stopover, close to motorway but far enough to be quiet and peaceful. Deer in the next field. Nice short walks in adjacent forest.
Disliked Rather strange security arrangements with metal fence and electronic keys. Don't know why security is so tight in this quiet corner of north Germany.

Liked Location of the pitch, close to the lake. Good facilities
Disliked Only complaint was lack of directions on arrival. We drove to the barrier, only to be told we needed to get a token from reception, and had to reverse to the car park - much to the annoyance of the queue behind us.

Liked Helpful staff, tidy site, good toilets and dishwashing facilities, lovely location with short walks on the land. Also separation of quiet side from family side, and easy access from M4.
Disliked Not the best location if you want to go cycling - a bit hilly, with major roads to cross, and no obvious cycling routes.
