Liked The farm (small holding really) with free range chickens and pigs and camping in the old orchard. Throwing the fallen apples to the pigs. Lovely people running the farm / campsite. Free range eggs! And sausages to die for!! We all, adults, children and dog just loved the place.

Disliked Nothing really. The A2 is a little close and a shower would be nice, but it's clearly pointed out so absolutely no complaint. We'll be back!

Liked Clean toilets, showers, etc.. Lovely couple running the site.

Disliked Too many caravans and camper vans. Bit crammed in but enough room.

From the manager: Hi. Thank you for your comments. We list our selves as a mixed unit site, and are permitted to take up to 15 Caravans and Motorhomes at any one time. On the three nights of your stay, we had 12,14 and 12 respectively. Other campsites are available that accept only tents.

Liked Lovely showers and lots of them! Good washing up facilities. Nice barn for kids to play in.

Disliked Showers too hot! Packed 'em in a bit, but Jubilee weekend so.....

From the manager: Hi Mike Thanks for the great review. To answer your point about shower temperature – we base our water temperature on a Recommended Code of Practice for Safe Water Temperatures which has a range of 41 to 43 degrees, Celsius. We use special thermostatic mixer valves to ensure the water is never too hot to harm. We have based our temperature at the lower end of the range but not everyone enjoys the same temperature. We have reduced the temperature by 1 degree as you are not the first person to mention the temperature – if we don’t get comments about ‘the showers were freezing’ we’ll know we have the sweet spot for our Lathe Barn facilities.
