Unpowered grass caravan site
Liked Wonderful huge site with expansive views. Bit of a slope though we were fine.
Great situation
Very clean basic toilets and the shower was really great. One of the best campsite showers. Ended up staying another night.

Meadow unpowered grass caravan site
Liked Fabulous setting back to nature experience on a wild but looked after site. Wonderful views especially sunrise and sunset.
Toilets and shower basic as expected but super clean and shower fantastic with hot hot water and plenty of it.
Owner very responsive and present and obviously passionate about the land. Will definitely return as in 2 weeks of touring on similar sites this was the best.

Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked Books 2 nights last minute stayed 4. Wonderful camping field with the best views over the peaks. The way the pitches are in a line along a high dry stone wall means that that view is never impeded by others and despite the sites height sheltered from the wind. It is gently sloping in part but that didn’t affect us in the van. Water rubbish and immaculate portaloos. We were cycling road and gravel and it was perfect position on the Monsal Trail for hiking and biking through Chatsworth and beyond. Owners so easy to contact if needed. The Tin Hut cafe was worth a visit for breakfast. Great mobile signal for planning days.
