Liked Second time I’ve been and it was brilliant again. A few more people this time but still plenty of room. The pitches are large so everyone can be comfortable. It was silent overnight, no one blasting music or anything. Great sea view and view over Cayton beach to Scarborough bay. Perfect place to drive, park up and get the doors open. One for the ‘regular’ list I think.

Liked Great site. It’s pretty big so everyone was well spread out with quality views in all directions with the lake and hills. It’s just a short drive from Keswick and in a nicely secluded spot. It was silent overnight so slept perfectly throughout and woke up to a spotlessly clean site. It’s a well maintained site which the owners and campers seemed to be looking after well.

Liked Great little place! Superb views in every direction, close to Sedbergh, close to good walking and nicely hidden away. I was lucky enough to have the field to myself so it was perfectly quiet overnight and slept solidly through till the morning. Waking up with the cloud surrounding the upper howgills makes for a great morning. Easy to find, helpful owner and a great position to get back in the morning. Definitely follow the directions on how to get there as there is a very narrow walled bridge the other way so take their advice!

Liked Absolutely superb place! The pitches are big with an amazing view over the bay. Perfect place to kick back after a day on the coast. Easy access down to the beach and a very relaxed vibe, it was silent overnight and not much louder during the day. Very peaceful and was exactly what I was looking for. Site was very clean and the check in process was a doddle

Liked What a great little find! Relaxed vibe to the place, just pitch where you want. Was perfect to kick back after a morning up in the hills with a great view of the northern howgills straight from the back of the pick up. It was perfectly silent pretty much all day and over night apart from some sheep and the sound of the near by stream. Easy to get to en route from either the dales or the lakes. Great place!

Liked Amazing view of the coast, lots of room to pitch up where you want to, look the other way and you’ve got Whitby abbey right there. It’s the second time I’ve been to this pop up and would definitely do it again when it’s back. Easy sign in, a quick walk to town and a brewery on the doorstep.

Disliked Nothing regarding the campsite but folks parking huge motorhomes sideways on the edge meant that less people could park up or pitch for the best views

Liked Great views over the coast and great location next to the abbey with Whitby town a short walk away, with a brewery en route. Really good value!

Liked Nice, relaxed site with early access. Very easy to find and great enveloping views surrounding you. I had been over Hard Knott pass and down to Ulverston that morning and it made for a great spot in a decent area. Quiet overnight and slept right through.

Liked Great site, spent all morning up and down the coastal towns and this site is nicely positioned with a nice view of the bay. There were a few campervans and a few tents that braved the wind but was very quiet over night, not even a peep from the llamas and sheep. Slept really well and would definitely come back again. The site is easy to find and is close (but not too close) to the main routes around.

Liked Great views and a handy panorama display to show you which fells you are looking at. Easy to find and nicely tucked away to get away from it all. I stayed during Storm Dave and the other campers left once the winds picked up so had the campervan area to myself, so apart from the battering wind it was quiet as it could be. I’d definitely go back, nothing like waking up to a fell view.

Liked Top notch views over the bay made for the best morning! Nice site in easy reach of Robin Hoods Bay, easy to find with an easy check in process. The site was very quiet over night and couldn’t fault it!
