Liked Customer service by Jan. I have rated this site highly but unfortunately we haven’t stayed here yet. On the day before we were due to arrive Jan very apologetically phoned me up to say they had had to close the site due to the arrival of gypsies who had cleverly booked in as a rally and police were in attendance. Jan wanted to speak to people personally ref cancellation rather than email and couldn’t have been more apologetic saying that we would receive a full refund plus our three night stay at a later date. I really sympathise with this site and the staff who run it and hope they are now up and running again. Looking forward to booking again soon. Thank you.

Liked Lovely reception staff, great site with cinema, pub, cafe, toilets, showers, laundry all spotless, secluded bay down the steps from the site, lovely walk into Whitby past Whitby Abbey then down the 199 steps into beautiful Whitby town with cobbled streets and plenty of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. If the steps seem too much for going back to the site there are plenty of taxis opposite Weatherspoons at a cost of £7.20.
Also enjoy a great day out at Robin Hoods Bay or Scarborough by bus from Whitby bus station £8 return.
