Liked Friendly staff on site who made us feel welcomed. We stayed for two nights to visit family in Derby and we were allowed to have them come to us on the camp site. The showers were hot and the toilet and shower block was kept clean

Disliked The tent pitches were very uneven no matter where you were the pitch sloped down. The showers were just say warm on not enough space to get dried and dressed. The place was overrun with flys in the toilets and on your pitch they were overpowering.

From the manager: Thankyou for taking your time to write a review .I'm so sorry you were disappointed with your stay with us.Most of our customers are happy with their camping experience with at The Paddock CampsiteRedcliffeLaneLebberstonYO113NT.As you say the location is excellent for walks to the beach & i add local amenities ie Plough Pub 10mins,24 Spa Grocery store farmshop next door & we are on the No.1 cycle route.If youd have said you were unhappy with your pitch id have happily changed this.We've smoothed out the field with a tractor so pitches are more even.Wetrooms /Showers are of a good size & so individuals & families can use them together & supervise their children. Facilities are not coin operated either which is convenient for our customers.Farmers were seed drilling during your visit & this caused a temporary spike in flies during the extremely hot weather & heatwave a staggering 35deg during May 2026.This is beyond our control .We mitigate this with regular cleaning & fly spraying in the showerblock which is generally effective.

Liked The location was close to the coast and Ideal for travel to the lakes. The Lowther Arms pub was perfect right beside the campsite. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Disliked Only problem was the toilet and shower gets busy when the campsite gets full and often had to wait . But when the pub is open the toilets are available

Liked Really good camp site in a beautiful location. The pitches are a really good size and the owners were very friendly. There was fresh eggs for sale as you enter the farm and the spring water from the drinking tap was really nice. Being on a working farm added to the experience and there were some good walks near by. Take in a trip to the quaint village of Helmsley and visit the Yorkshire gliding club just off Sutton Bank with some breathtaking views
